Yay Brax! This one is fun! It’s not perfect but it is enjoyable

Why hello there Irving Braxiatel!

This one introduces Brax, and it’s about the only reason it might hold any interest—the story is forgettable, the characters are meh, and the production is shoddy. I’m not a fan.

The Extinction Event is a functional mystery with a promising central duo but not much else to get excited about. It’s pleasant rather than gripping, polite rather than thrilling. The lack of tension, pedestrian direction, and weak atmosphere make it one of the more forgettable entries in early Benny audio adventures—though the burgeoning relationship between Bernice and Braxiatel adds just enough spark to keep it from falling completely flat.

I think this one is quite fun. This is mainly because of Brax and Benny, who are both well performed and work great here. The Story itself is a bit bare bones really, it could have done with a certain touch to make it something really special. As it is, it’s enjoyable short fun who-dunnit, which maybe lacks some more depth to become something truly outstanding.

But it has Benny and Brax at their A-Game and therefore is at least enjoyable to listen to, even if I doubt it will hold much water if I relisten to it again.

All I can remember from this one is Brax <3 and I love Brax <3

I’ve rated it as a 7/10 so that’s what I’m going with but otherwise nothing particularly exciting. Generally I find series 2 of Benny to be a bit rough (but series 3 is much better).
