Doom Coalition is a really great starting point even if you havenât listened to Dark Eyes first â it has two brilliant companions, both its individual stories and and its ongoing arc are really well written, and you donât need to listen to anything beforehand to get the full experience. It was one of my first BF series and I couldnât recommend it enough!

Iâll add to this, I think Dark Eyes was a convoluted, confusing mess with only a handful of really good stories (and Mollie is so annoying), I much prefer Doom Coalition, better arc, better standalone stories, better villain, itâs just better!

I would agree that Dark Eyes is pretty bad. Aside from having great characters like 8, Liv, and Narvin, and having a few good episodes, itâs far too Dalek-y and the overarching plot is confusing (or at least I found it confusing but I might not have been paying enough attention who knows)

I wouldnât say Dark Eyes is badâ every episode is certainly competent, but it isnât really my thing. As people have said, too many Daleks. I also found the Eminence really boring!
Most of the episodes have blended together for me except a few standouts (The Great War, A Life in the Day, and Timeâs Horizon were all very good). But I will say I thought the overall plot was decent, especially the ending. I like how the Eminence, Time Controller and Mollyâs storylines wrapped upâ it felt very neat and satisfying. But not a series Iâd want to relisten to any time soon.
