Am I the only one who likes these, sure they arent the best animation out there but its better than watching a powerpoint presentation, really sucks when people complain about them.
The animations are great and we’re lucky, as fans, to have them. Fans will always complain - it’s in their nature to want something to be exactly how they envisage it in their mind.
But the telesnap reconstructions are much more than PowerPoint presentations. They take a lot of time and effort to create and are very much the closest we can actually get to the episodes especially when they include actual surviving clips.
I always watch animations when they are available. To me, it is the best way of watching missing stories.
It is at the bottom of my list. It has the best reconstruction of the whole series. I think that it is the only one that does not need animation. Great story, though.
That’s true, but I still want to see it animated, if only to convince those who think it’s boring to watch 7 episodes of telesnaps that it’s a great story!
I get your point here (and actually kind of agree with it), but no it must be made with all other missing episodes in order to definitively put the nail in the coffin of those AI atrocities that float around out there
Of course, they should do this one as well. I just think that they can do it last.
Tried watching marco polo but quit midway
They obviously want to get more animations done so that they can put them on the collection box sets and get most of the '60s seasons out. I just hope that an accelerated release rate doesn’t mean that they’ll be of lesser quality.
Do any of you think if they’re gonna release a 60s season again as part of a bluray?
Yeah, I believe the intention is to release the entire classic series in the Collection.
Which one do you reckon is next, maybe Season 6 if they do space pirates as the next animation?
A bit late on it, but I thought I add some of my Thoughts: Personally I think criticism in regards about the Animation is total fine, if done in polite manner, obviously just ripping them apart is NOT the way to go, since we are incredibly lucky to get those. And often some Weakness with the Animations are often because of the strict Budget. Some Animations such as the one for Macra or Evil really hit huge Highs in my Eyes, and even some Releases like Underwater have great Character Animation to it. Of course with the newer Animations there is a lot of creative liberty taken, which I get, even if some of those really don’t work for me (a good Example would be Fury, which I think made some less stellar Decision), this is probably one of the biggest Issues I heard with most People about the Animation. I do get where this is coming from, but I definitely don’t think some should react in the harsh manner as they do at times.
As for the new about trying to work on multiple Animations around the same time: This might be an interesting Decision, I just hope a) they don’t crunch their Animation Teams b) don’t just rush it all out to be done, I would rather wait for the Animation to be done with some good Quality than just have them for the sake of it.
I really hope Smugglers is the next animation, and it seems we might be getting like 2 or 3 yearly as they said on that comic con.
I would love a Smugglers Animation for sure, doubt we will get 2-3 yearly, but it would be nice! I do say 2 Animations a Year is much more likely, actually.
yeah one in like first half of year and 2nd in later half
