Glad to hear it! I don’t want to dread a story because I know the writing isn’t going to be up to snuff.
I do think Leonard is very good with established doctors and companions I think cause 8th n Sam where so new I defo think he shouldn’t have been on the writing block that early into the era I do also think that’s why he brought Jo in to give himself a sense of a safe blanket
Just finished longest day I gave it a five … and some how it’s 2.4 on the site actually speechless about that

I enjoy Paul Leonard’s writing and he can strike absolute gold. The Turing Test is one of the best EDAs point blank for me! I also enjoy Dreamstone Moon and Revolution Man a lot!

It’s very underrated I feel. (Moon not the Peel book!) I remember a while ago it was talked about as one of the lesser books, but I really enjoyed the worldbuilding, the alien species, and Leonard always shines characterising Eight and his companions.
It’s maybe overshadowed a bit by Seeing I which is one of THE best, but I still remember it as a great read!

yeah i think it does amazing stuff with Sam, its the book that really made me love her! like i said before i think it does get a bit boring sometimes but imo its worth it for what is there

Here’s me sitting here never really having enjoyed any of Paul Leonard’s work - and especially not Dreamstone Moon. Those books were a slog from War of the Daleks through to Dreamstone Moon with only Alien Bodies being one I remember actually enjoying as I read it. Seeing I is excellent though.

Currently on placebo effect like just about finished
Tonal shift wise I get why this might not be popular but passing wise for me after seeing i this is what 8 and Sam needed a rather simple story but a lot of breathing room fo Sam to adjust back into this life and for readers to get more accustomed to how sam acts now after the 3 years of being stranded

Yeah I see that I learned the other day longest day was considered the EDA s1 finale and I really feel that going into legacy - the end of placebo it’s like there taking the issues they had and fixing them before the range continues with the team

To me, Seeing 1 is the finale of series 1, Interference is the finale of series 2, and The Ancestor Cell is the finale of season 3. Things get a little muddier in the second half because often the same book that resolves ones arc will kick off the next, but I want to say Earthworld ends season 4, The Adventuress of Henrietta Street ends season 5, Time Zero ends season 6, Sometime Never ends season 7, and, of course, The Gallifrey Chronicles ends season 8, for 8 total seasons of the 8th Doctor
