Add a letter, wreck a title

OK, this is similar to lose a letter, ruin a story, only it’s a little bit harder. There’s some fun to be had though, and playing around with some of the individually titled Hartnell episodes pays some dividends.

e.g.

From Marco Polo:

The Stinging Sands

The Wall of Flies

Assassin at Pee King

From The Reign of Terror:

A Gland of Fear

From The Dalek Invasion of Earth:

The Bend of Tomorrow

This one comes with a 15 certificate: The Wanking Ally

Or from Troughton’s era:

The Faceless Cones

The Mice Warriors

You get the idea. What letter adding fun can you get up to?

Definitely better than The Satan Pita, which was the best I could think of.

This thread takes me back to Series 10, when The Lice of the Land featured the return of a foe from earlier in the season when Thin Lice aired (right after Simile). None of those were as good as The Heaters of Light, though. Good season, that Series 10.

And did I mention the Christmas episode, Twice Upon a Timex? Awful product placement, but still a fun episode.
