We all have era preferences, so if you don’t warm to the fourth Doctor, so be it. I hope you will though, as his era has some of my favourite stories and I’d be sad for you to miss them.

I’ve got my fingers crossed that I can get on with him this time around! As you say, there’s so many great stories in that era, and other characters too, and I want to discover them fully for myself.

Ooh, ranking Doctors is a tricky one, for NewWho anyway.
Classic is easier: Two ahead of Three, with One in third place. I haven’t watched any of the other Doctors yet so this will change over the next year or so.
NewWho is Twelve miles out in front, then, probably Ten closely followed by Nine Thirteen and Fifteen, then Eleven, then Fourteen. This list does tend to change around a bit depending on what I have rewatched most recently though. Except for Twelve. I love Twelve!

Honestly? If I rank them, it would be the opposite problem where I wouldn’t know how to do with classic. I’d say Twelve would be the number 1 spot newwho-wise, otherwise if we’d include any other Doctors, he probably drop to the 4th placement.

Me if I didn’t quantify my TG favorites as my top 100 TV stories (though, slightly more than 100 picked because of two parters being listed separately, and of course both parts would get the favorite if going by story).

There are actually quite a few Twelve fans here.
Heaven Sent is still the highest rated story on the site 
Closely followed by World Enough and Time and The Doctor Falls.
Yeah, Capaldi is king. Although certain people on here won’t agree
