1953: Where’s the Doctor? (not on TARDIS Guide yet)
I don’t think you looked hard enough.
Oh you’re right. That’s the only place I didn’t look - always the way!
Still waiting for Accelerator.Guide..
1953: An Ordinary Life
1951: The Lavender Hill Blob
1950s: Goodbye Piccadilly:
1953: Quantum Leap - The Americanization of Machiko
1953: Quantum Leap - Sarah’s Got a Gun
1953: Quantum Leap: A Single Drop of Rain
Bit more Doctor Who for my trip through the 1950s:
1954: The Good Soldier
1954: Sea Bride
1954 continues:
Much as I love Quantum Leap, I find writing reviews for it to be actually quite tricky. I also think that watching the episodes in chronological order rather than transmission order is making the series feel a bit samey. One of it’s strengths is jumping from decade to decade.
So I did just watch the final 1954-set story, Pool Hall Blues but I don’t think I’m going to carry on including Quantum Leap in this marathon. It has also meant that the Doctor Who focus of my original marathon keeps stalling especially now in the 1950s because there are so many QL episodes set here.
So I’m going to leave QL for the time being (and maybe go back and do a proper watch of it in order sometime soon) and refocus on Doctor Who. That means the next story up with be an instalment of the White Witch at Devil’s End followed by Rosa.
Okay, let’s get this marathon back under way. I mean, I only started it in 2013…
1954: The White Witch of Devil’s End - Half-Light
1955: Rosa
I also want to link to this interesting article from the Blogtor Who site:
1955 (?): Torchwood Soho - Parasite
I absolutely adore the Torchwood Soho series, it was a stroke of genius to spin a series out of Ghost Mission and Goodbye Piccadilly.
More of the 50s:
