Oof, that’s 3-5am AEDST for me rip. Time zones continue to be the bane of my existence :sob:
Tho the 5am (6pm GMT) slot could be workable and a nice callback to when the new Doctor Who episode would drop on ABC iView around that time on a Sunday after it aired in the UK and i’d wake up obscenely early to watch it.

Anyway, wanted to see who else wouldn’t be able to make it and gauge the interest in another event a bit later on

Yeah sorry @Daximili - I really wanted everyone to be involved if possible. If you want to do the quiz I could always send over the questions to you or whoever joins with you so you still get to be part of it.

Can’t really get Discord

What would you be able to use? Want to include as many people as possible in at least one thing.

The forum would be the only thing I could use because anything else and my computer implodes

Could you use discord on your phone? I honestly find the mobile app more workable than desktop lol

This does sound like a lot of fun and I do love a quiz. However, I’m afraid that I won’t be able to join in with this as I’m leaving to go on holiday that day. But I do like the idea of doing these online get-togethers so hopefully I can be involved with some future ones.

I do love to join but the three choices are midnight to two in the morning here. I live in the uni dorm so both my roommates would be asleep by then. Gotta think of someplace to go for the night… (Curiously, the time is not really a problem. My sleep schedule is already wrecked so I’m basically operating in UK time anyway )

Can appreciate that one. I had many many years of working wacky schedules, my sleep schedule was already wrecked, and I’ve been trying to adjust to a normal sleep schedule now that I don’t have a job that requires the weird ones, and I’m rather failing at it.

For me it’s mostly that I don’t really do voice or video chat, and I’m not the biggest on discord. I’m much more of a forum person.

I’m going to have a think about what we can do for those people who can’t, or would rather not, do a voice/video thing. There’s a couple of ideas bubbling at the back of my mind. At the very least we have the chat function on the forum which could be put to good use.

Oh, Rassilon… That reminds me that I’ve never done any voice/video thing in English. Or via a VPN. (It tends to slow the connection down.)

Usually when I use my iPad, the connection seems better. But they don’t provide Discord app here. Can I use the webpage on iPad?

Edit: Turns out I can. Marvelous! And I booked a hotel room with bath tub. It’d be nice to get away with my dorm.

I really don’t know actually

Suggestion: 61 Going On 15 (or vice versa)

On the Doctor Who Discord server, when we did quizzes, we’d do it pub quiz style with multiple rounds, usually with 10 questions each. Those who wanted to be in VC were, but they didn’t have to. Whoever was running it would post the questions in chat one at a time, I think also reading them in VC, and give people time to write in their answers which they’d DM to a scorer before the next one. Scores shown after each round posted with a screenshot of a table. People could talk in chat or VC, but no giving away answers of course. Could do one text channel for just the questions, and the other for discussion. I don’t know if you want to do it the same way here, but just some ideas from what we did over there.

Thanks for the suggestions - there’s some good ideas there.

To clarify - GMT is Greenwich time, right ?
