Long time science fiction fan, but my favorite works were written from the thirties thru the sixties. My favorite author is H. Beam Piper, followed Lester del Rey. After those two come Clarke, Heinlein, and Asimov, then Zelazny. I also really love movie comedies from the thirties and forties. That said, my favorite TV SF shows besides Doctor Who include UFO, Babylon 5, Farscape, Star Cops, Ultraviolet and Star Trek. Other TV shows include Knights of God, The Prisoner, The Avengers, Forever Knight, Cadfael, The West Wing and Batman, The Animated Series. Oh, and I am a comic book fan, have been since the seventies, although my favorite period is the sixties, followed by the eighties. I’m also a DC fan, although I do like some Marvel titles. I stopped reading comics in the early nineties, but I’m back reading a few titles again. For a very incomplete look at my book collection you can visit my library on LibraryThing.
