Hi everyone, Roo here from the UK, and I’m really, really old…

In fact, I’m a year older than Doctor Who, but was busy being a baby during the Hartnell era (I like to imagine my cot or pram was parked in the corner of the room while those episodes were playing). My awareness of Doctor Who begins midway through Evil of the Daleks. I’ve been a devoted fan ever since.

For me, Classic Era Doctor Who and NuWho are different rides in the same funfair. Classic Who is The Haunted House, with rickety old walls and rubber monsters that you know are not real but thrill you all the same. NuWho, meanwhile, is the bright, flashy rollercoaster ride. Both are a delight in their own way.

I’m a child of the Space Age and a big fan of 1960s and '70s science fiction and Telefantasy. Given half a chance, I will bore you to death talking about my love for shows like The Time Tunnel and Land of the Giants. I’m also a Trekkie, so feel free to engage me on that topic too.
