Your ideas for Doctor Who video games?

Yeah, never played it. Just vaguely remembered seeing a Doctor interferance mechanic mentioned on the box.

There’s a mechanic which allows you to finish the game if you work through all the Doctor’s regenerations - it’s a welcome tool when you’ve played lengthy games of normal Risk with your eldest…

One idea I have:

Doctor Who - Legend Of Gallifrey:

A Hogwarts Legacy-style game. You play as a mysterious man or woman who is unexpectedly transported into the TARDIS, whilst working a mundane 9-5 job at the supermarket. During the game, you discover more details about your past, after finding an ancient fob watch in the ruins of Gallifrey, and your hidden connection to the Time Lords.

There are a series of quests and side quests you can take, given to you by the Doctor and other Time Lord figures, such as Romana and Susan Foreman. There’s also a side quest where if you choose to help the Master, you obtain the Tissue Compression Eliminator.

There are several hubs to explore, such as the TARDIS, Gallifrey, Victorian London, Present Day London, Skaro, Mondas, and Peladon. Each one has side quests and monsters like Daleks, Cybermen, and Sontarans to fight.

You can also adopt a pet, like take your own K9 with yourself and the Doctor on your travels, or Handles. And some side quests allow you to invite people onboard the TARDIS as your companion, sometimes against the Doctor’s advice, and your choice on whether to take them onboard impacts on how much the Doctor trusts you throughout the game.

RPG, or MMORPG, would work really well. Being able to upgrade your Tardis, sonic, gain new companions, pulls if you were to use a procedural generation you would have infinite adventures.

That’s a great idea, and I’ve always wondered why there hasn’t been something like that.

(Although, BBC budget…)

Yep, though they could out source, or it could be a fan project

What would your dream Doctor Who game be? I’d like something like Time Lords vs Daleks in time war and you could pick which faction you’d choose,it’d be a cool multiplayer game.

The Web Planet The Game (and no, I am only half joking, when I say that. I do think there is Potential).

Other than that, something along those Lines such as LEGO Star Wars The Complete Saga would be great, could have a Level for each Doctor, I’d imagine it would go like this, if I had to guess:
1: An Unearthly Child
2: The War Games
3: Planet of the Spiders
4: The Armageddon Factor
5: Castrovalva
6: Trial of the Timelord (if we could get such a large ‘Serials’)
7: Remembrance of the Daleks
8: TV Movie
9: Parting of the Ways/Bad Wolf
10: Journeys End/Stolen Earth
11: Time of the Doctor
12: World Enough/Doctor Falls
13: Flux (same with Sixie)
15: Legend of Ruby Sunday/Empire of Death
(Honestly, some of those Picks are stories that I really do not like, but I think they could be fun for a Game with An Unearthly being the No-Brainer one)

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: Ace Attorney Investigations style!!! Literally a game about snooping around, getting into arguments, being accused of crimes you didn’t commit, and proving people wrong. Swap Miles Edgeworth with the Doctor and that’s it, the structure would work perfectly.

A doctor who RPG with cute pixel art graphics could eat up so much of my time.

It could have a kill/spare system, kind of like undertale. Except you have a party and some characters are better at persuading/incapacitating enemies so you can spare them, and some characters are better at fighting. Depending on what you do it could change the events of the mission/story.

How about a simulation game where you are running Adipose Industries from Partners In Crime? You are trying to market and sell the Adipose, like several of the other marketing simulator type games out there, but sort of a splash of Plague, Inc in there, since you’re basically wiping out humanity by converting all their fat to Adipose…

If you want to do a lego game that’s topical and encompasing, I like the idea of a 60th Anniversary Collection, with Power of the Doctor and the 3 60th specials, maybe with Tales of the Tardis as a bonus level

My dream Doctor Who game would be a puzzle focused story adventure game, like the old Telltale games, but with a bigger focus on puzzles.
