What Would Your TARDIS Look Like?

I’d just be constantly changing mine lol

Definitely something small and cozy, more a lounge than a spaceship, like a hybrid of the 8th Doctor’s one, and the 4th Doctor’s secondary one. Basically, I keep envisioning my favorite fan design, which is here:

Annoyingly, that site updated recently and you have to login in order to see anything other than preview thumbnails for the images

definitely 8’s one! i think it’s lovely, i would keep 4’s swimming pool room as well though. and i think i’d attempt to keep it slightly less cluttered and with more wood, not sure how long the less-cluttered would last though XD

I don’t tend to decorate my spaces, and I do love the look of the original default console anyway so I’d probably have that. I find the simplicity comforting. I’m not very organised so there’d still be things scattered around the console room though.

That’s so similar to the control room from the absolutely brilliant “Star Wars: Rebellion” game

Like many people here I’m a big fan of the TV Movie’s TARDIS console however I am very much not turning the lights up I will happily become some sort of crepuscular creature

Seeing a lot of love for the Eighth Doctor’s TARDIS, and that’s pretty much the exact aesthetic I’d be going for - maybe with a touch of the orange lighting from 12s.

My main interest is TV and film, so I’d want mine to look like a cinema. The projection booth would be where the central console is, where you fly the TARDIS; the only issue would be that projection booths are obviously very small, so you wouldn’t have much room to fly it. I guess it would have to be a bigger projection room than you’d normally have in a cinema, to allow for the central console and the projector.

The projector would be an old-fashioned one rather than the more modern digital alternatives cinemas use today. The reason is that the more traditional projectors remind me of my Grandad, who used to work as a projectionist and would often invite me into the booth when I was little to watch him projecting the films onto the big screen (Reg in Lux reminded me a little of what my Granddad used to do actually). There would be old film reels too.

I’d have it so the big screen also doubles as the TARDIS scanner screen, showing where the TARDIS has landed, and occasionally I would hook up a PS5, Xbox Series X, or Switch to the big screen as I also do a lot of gaming.

I’d also want to have a small bookcase in the corner as I do a lot of reading, but most of the books would be in the TARDIS library.
