Logopolis.
Absolutely beautiful.
To be honest, I was getting a bit tired of 4, then suddenly Season 18 reenergized my love for him. And when Logopolis hit… I realized that I wasn’t ready to say goodbye

I sincerely love, no, maybe all caps, I sincerely LOVE all three of these stories, this is my favorite section of S18, and if any other Doctor had made it this far it’s a good chance these could all separately beat any contenders anyway. Keeper is such a brilliant story, a creepy use of my favorite baddie, and it looks amazing, excellent guest cast. Logopolis is one of the best-ever regeneration stories, right up there with Caves and War Games, the doomy tone is so delicious, the ideas in it are so strange and remain interesting all these years later, the TARDISes in TARDISes part is so bizarre and unsettling, it introduces Tegan, fabulous ending. But I gotta give it up to Warriors’ Gate which is a Top 10/15 story for me, it’s experimental and dreamy and a bit romantic and it’s brimming with weird ideas, and it’s the last hurrah for two of the best characters of all time, Romana and K-9. I love it so much.

Ha, I had the same thing. I chose to binge S18 to finally get through the 4th Doctor (not in one day). Not sure when it happened but when I went to grab the disc for Logopolis I realized I didn’t really want him to go anymore.

I find Tom Baker is at his best when people higher up can rein him in a bit. He had this in the Hinchcliffe seasons, and again in the JNT season. He was able to have a balance between his sillier self with more serious moments (I don’t agree with the relatively common opinion that S18 is devoid of comedy, it’s just subtler a lot of the time). And more importantly, he seemed to take the stories a lot more seriously in those two periods than he seemed to in the Graham Williams era. I don’t like him as much when he’s just out of control, doing whatever he likes, like the majority of his stuff from Seasons 15-17, a time in which I think he’s largely a parody of his former character.

Fair enough if you don’t like the comedy. And yeah off memoey its not as humorous as before. But we also have The Doctor recognizing Earth technology becouse you can hit it to fix it in the gothic vampire episode.

I prefer tkot cuz its cozier than Logopolis and actually also cozie r that n warriors gate but warriors gate makes no sense a bit on purpose i guess and Logopolis seems to only be liked for the entropy wave and traken often liked only for the set design and even space 1999 seems better if you replace the audio with lo-fi/soft sounds/ludovico Einaudi music
And yes luvic is also a nOOb on purpose I wont defend him no more. Not in a show with Gantok XD 
(gantokposting is a thing on xitter and I thought it could re Kindle my interest in dw like a blaise Kindle, although i found Gantok forgettable at first, although his name sounds like martok. Im even p sure theyre only doing that ironically and they have other faves) (luvic, Deedrix, and other s18 characters are better characters than Gantok, they just happened to be in s18. Even the luvic from my video
