Russian Doll was so fab!!! I really like Natasha in everything I’ve seen her in (which isn’t too much tbh)

I really didn’t vibe with Russian Doll when I tried it sadly and I couldn’t place why  I do need to check out Poker Face to see if it works better for me

I know you’re not likely to shell out for another streamer but do consider either buying/renting the boxset or availing yourself of a free trial to binge it.

It’s not only up your street but it was easily my favourite show of 2023. Can’t wait to start the new run.

We do already have Disney, Netflix and Paramount but Paramount was technically my mum’s Christmas present last year so she could watch the Frasier reboot and we’ve used it to watch Quantum Leap and Strange New Worlds but with two out of three of those cancelled, we’ll probably not renew it next year so could certainly look into getting NOW for a month or so.

Yeah. Poker Face s2 has only released 3 episodes so far. Maybe wait until it’s all dropped & keep an eye out for an offer.

Trying to use Serializd (a TV tracking app/site a bit like Letterboxd) so thought I’d see if anyone else is.

I’m on there, surprisingly enough as deltaandbannermen - feel free to follow me

Been finally watching the final season of A Series of Unfortunate Events. I had been waiting till I’d got round to reading the last few books but have realised my to-read pile is too large and they are a low priority so decided to just finish the TV version. It’s such a good adaptation. Neil Patrick Harris is wonderful, the three Baudelaires are brilliant and the huge guest cast is never less than spot on in terms of getting the slightly weird, slightly meta tone of the whole thing.

I love A Series of Unfortunate Events. I’ve only watched the first season which was a few years ago. This is making me want to go back and finish.

I’ve only ever seen the film! :sob:

Watching a handful of shows at the moment. Though at different speeds since I only have so much time in the week.

– Don’t Trust the B- in Apartment 23, a half hour comedy.
– VIDA, a half hour drama.
– Battlestar Galactica, the 00s version.
– Dark Angel, the James Cameron TV show starring Jessica Alba.
– ANDOR, the current Star Wars show, though I’m really behind.

Nearing the end of another excellent season of Man Like Mobeen, gotta be one of my fave sitcoms ever

I just borrowed season 4 of House MD from the library, and I’ll probably start it tomorrow! I convinced one of my friends to watch the first few episodes, and he really likes it! I’ve been considering writing a crossover fic between House MD and Doctor Who because I think Donna Noble meeting House could be peak comedy.

House is truly a show where i think, even with context, the OOC clips would make no sense lol

Oh the film is awful - a weird mishmash of the first three books with the end of the first book chopped off and moved to after the events of the second and third books.

The TV show is much more faithful to the books and, for my money, gets the idiosyncratic tone perfectly. NPH is a much better fit for Olaf than Jim Carrey as well (although Carrey wasn’t terrible).

I loved season 1 and then somehow totally forgot about the TV show! I should rewatch
