Both Torchwood and Class celebrate their anniversaries on the 22nd October.
This calls for a BATTLE!
Starting on the 22nd October, we will be hosting a battle to find out who is the winner, Torchwood or Class?
Each spinoff earns points whenever someone completes and rates for the first time, repeats, or reviews a story from their range. We will have a live leaderboard for the week, and announce the winner on the 28th October.
Now, Torchwood has far more stories (and more fans…) so Class will get a handicap boost, each of its stories will be worth 5 points. A determined group of people will be able to shift the leaderboard in Class’s favour!
To make sure it’s not affected too much by new people joining and filling in their backlog, only verified forum users or patrons will count towards the scoring. If you want to participate, get verified by creating an introduction topic!
There will also be three new badges and Titles to unlock during the event:
Complete and rate for the first time, repeat or review a Torchwood story that features a member of the original Series 1 cast on 22nd October.
(The “cast” requirement is JUST for the badge, not for the tournament)
Complete and rate for the first time, repeat or review a Class story on 22nd October.
Participate in the weekly battle, completing 2 eligible actions for either Team Torchwood or Team Class (or both).
Which team do you hope will win?
Tournament Rules
Only members who are verified or become a patron before the closing date count. This is to stop people cheating by creating extra accounts, and to make sure that new users who are simply filling in their backlog and aren’t part of the tournament are counted as little as possible (although some of that may happen).
We will continually check to ensure people aren’t trying to game the system. Anyone who completes more stories than seem possible in a single period may be removed from scoring.
We only count 1 repeat per story per person, so don’t try to spam that repeat button.
It’s all just a bit of fun, please enjoy and don’t take it too seriously!
