Almost 2 years since we last heard Tyler (July 2023) I’ve missed him so much!!! I really hope this does well, I need more from this team and S8 pretty please… Also, written by Joe Lidster who has a phenomenal track record with Torchwood. He wrote Broken, One Rule, and various Torchwood One stories!

It was pretty weird to not have any Torchwood last month, after years of the monthly range. Maybe one day they’ll bump it up, but I doubt it.

Last month, and most of this month, has DRAGGED so much. I miss monthly TW :sob: and no boxsets in sight its rough

I reckon there won’t be boxsets until next year, especially for MR release 100/ 20th anniversary of Torchwood (and my birthday yay!). And if not, I’ll be disappointed lol.

Possibly yeah, its a shame we’ve been treated to so much and now it feels like very little. There could be an announcement tomorrow, who knows though!

I just blame the advertising, and even how current ahem showrunners treat Torchwood a bit like a stain rather than something to expand on.

There’s only so much BF can do I’m afraid, but if you mean like DWM / Doctor Who accounts then I agree. I’m glad they’re staying away from it and letting BF do what they want tbh!

I can’t stop thinking about the ending. It goes to show how much Tyler has grown that he has the opportunity to change the course of his life, and he just decides to change one tiny detail which actually makes a huge difference. This is why I’ve championed for this team to get MR stories, because they deserve to have stories like this where we get more backstory and they get fleshed out.

I love how it wasn’t a Time Travel Tyler but instead the Universe taking his form, I thought that added some rly good Cosmicism to the plot, and is more interesting/haunting imo than if he was just Tyler from the future

I agree. Wait you meant RTD, right? Honestly I was thinking about what happened to the Doctor Who outreach program the Torchwood Monthlies were doing at one point, feels like the Who stuff putting Torchwood things in, (War Master, Dark Gallifrey, Stranded) is more common now, when there are places where things not originally made for Torchwood ranges would do well in Torchwood.

Also I liked the audio, wondering how it interacts with Series 6 a bit; thought they would’ve addressed that. (Hostile Environment, in specifics.)
