I love Miranda Hart, precisely because she has battled fatigue and chronic illness for so long and yet is still so brilliant. I wish I could manage mine as well as she does. She’s also very wise, very empathetic and very funny. I found her sitcom a bit OTT at times, but it was something genuinely different to anything else made at the time or since and I suspect that it really was a work of genius. I really hope she makes it to the end.
I never saw any negative opinions directed towards Miranda and was more under the impression that her withdrawal from public focus was due to covid and then her chronic fatigue diagnosis.
Yeah, I don’t mean the negativity was why she disappeared, I meant I used to see more negativity towards her which I didn’t necessarily agree with. Now I see overwhelmingly positive comments about Miranda Hart and she seems to have fallen into national treasure status.
On Twitter was where I saw it. It was particularly in relation to the Channel 4 chat show she had one Christmas, and the game show she filled from home that aired during a COVID Christmas.
There’s absolutely no way Hannah is going to win… but I do think I’ve discovered a new crush…
Interesting tactic of not putting a traitor into a crypt. As James said, that has always backfired on the traitors in the past so a quite canny move to not put one in and therefore throw suspicion on to those four because the faithfuls will also know that a traitor is usually included in the mix.
I am very tempted to seek out more of her oeuvre - just need to make sure Mrs Delta doesn’t work out why (although, that said, she has crushes on Acaster and Gamble so I think I should be allowed this one at least).
I was utterly gutted that they off-ed Bella. They would have been a fantastic traitor. I still think that recruiting Hannah was a very risky move, especially because, while she can probably out think everyone else there, she is not as good at the emotional masking necessary. I think she has looked guilty ever since she was recruited. Miranda sees right through her.
Sad to see Hannah go but she lasted a lot longer than I thought she would. I thought it odd though that more people didn’t push the James Blunt theory as lots of them had been talking about it in previous days and leading up to the round table.
I actually thought the task was a bit weak. The Death Parade was only catching the ones who got ‘left behind’ which the gates manufactured and the line of fire was pointless really.
Absolutely died laughing at Miranda, Bash and Kenny galloping down the corridor. And then Joe begging to be recruited by anyone who would listen.
Kenny being recruited is interesting. There’s absolutely no heat on him so as long as Maya and James play fair he could easily make it to the end. I think it might actually be James they need to divert attention from because his name has come up a bit.
I reckon eyes will now turn on James B for the next table or possibly Joanne because of her bizarre behaviour at the round table.[/spoiler]
I can hear My Chemical Romance’s lawyers springing into action as we speak
I’m not surprised Hannah’s gone. I was really hoping they’d recruit Joe though, if only to see if he’d be more obvious about it than Richard. Still not happy that Jerry remains while Richard only lasted one round table
Yeah it was no great surprise that Hannah went. I thought it was a silly decision to recruit her in the first place. Then, regardless of what she said, she managed to look guilty. I was surprised that she survived the last round table. It’s a shame that she got manoeuvred into the position she was by Jerry in the graveyard. I would have liked to have seen her theorising without the problem of being a traitor.
Joe begging to be recruited was hilarious. I wish they’d taken him up on it. I did wonder that, if they chose to murder instead of recruit, would they get a chance to recruit later? Recruiting on the night the last traitor is ousted looks so obvious.
I’m intrigued to see how Kenny responds to being a traitor. They need someone competent in the turret. Maya is brilliant at behaving naturally in the company, but I’m not sure she’s made the soundest decisions in the turret. James looks so tired that I think he’ll get picked off pretty soon now.
I think I saw a story somewhere that recording had to be paused because James had a panic attack or similar and the cast all asked the team to let them turn off the cameras so he could take time to recover.
I think Ross looked VERY suspicious of the traitors, especially given how paranoid he’s been. I don’t know Kenny at all, and thus was unfamiliar with his game. He’s playing a blinder so far, and has Miranda on side which is great for him. I can see James or Maya being the next to go, Maya was really not subtle at all..
