The big food and recipes topic!

That sounds like something my family will have to try in the near future

But who wrote that Wikipedia entry? Italian Salad Seasoning can be bought everywhere in Denmark as wellā€¦

Yes, itā€™s a favourite of ours! But we do it a bit differently.

Also, the Danish, Swedish and Finnish Wikipedia entries donā€™t mention the Italian Salad seasoning. Or the Swedish one does, but only that itā€™s part of the original recipe. We donā€™t use it and we usually leave out the peanuts as well.

I allways skip the banana. But I am not that big of a fan of fruit in food.

But they are the best part!

The banan is what makes it amazing! It goes so well with the chicken and the bacon!

The first few meatballs got burntā€¦ Iā€™m changing tactic

Ahh yes, thatā€™s the tricky part, to not burn them! But Iā€™m sure youā€™ll get the hang of it!

Banan, Peanuts, Bacon and Chicken together sounds like a match made in heaven to me :slightly_smiling_face:

Iā€™m getting hungry now

Has anyone ever made recipe(s) from the Doctor Who Cookbook(s)?

Kipper of Traken!

It pretty much is. Also, we always use grilled chicken, so itā€™s even better!

The rest of the meatballs went quite well. I failed spectacularly at the brown sause.

I actually forgot thereā€™s a step called å‹¾čŠ” and we have special flour for that  Itā€™s much harder to fail at å‹¾čŠ” than this mysterious step I only heard for the first time

DeepL translates as å‹¾čŠ” as ā€œthicken with cornstarchā€ - thatā€™s actually something we do as well sometimes, though the step above is a bit more traidtional over here.

The traditional way burned too quickly

Itā€™s a bit fiddly, yeah. You donā€™t know how many of those Iā€™ve burnt before I got the hang of it :joy:

We want pictures

Didnā€™t take any. Maybe next time with unburnt meatballs :tardis:

Or, when I get to be a time agent and stop them being burnt today. Whichever comes first :stuck_out_tongue:

Did they taste good?

A bit salty, but thatā€™s on me. Overall pretty good. Have to find an IKEA when spring semester starts to compare lol

Homemade are always the best, at least when one starts to play around with the recipe and adding or changing some ingredients, to make the meatballs oneā€™s own!
