I am continuing my work to get my kids to become expensive to feed. We were at a French bistro for lunch today with my in-laws, and my 5-year-old had oysters for the third time in her life, and she loves them. My two-year-old got to try snails for the first time; she was a bit sceptical, but at least she tried. We also had a talk with her that just because she had snails with us did not mean that she could eat snails in the park.
My lunch today: two slices of homemade bread, Costco canned chicken mixed with Mayo and a homemade ranch mix, sweet relish and cheese. Microwave for 88 seconds add ranch dressing on top for chicken ranch cheese melt.
All this talk of broccoli is making me hungry, so I bought a bag of mixed broccoli florets, carrots, and cauliflower, and I’m going to throw that in the pressure cooker to steam it…
The only way I like broccoli is when my Mom uses the packaged broccoli coleslaw[1] and makes a stir fry with it with shredded cabbage and cubed round steak or chicken and a soy sauce-based broth that we have with rice.
