You don’t need to make up an Andrew for her family, she’s already got one!

(assuming you didn’t misremember grandfather as Uncle)

Absolutely love this!

Can’t she have multiple relatives named Andrew?

(I’ve never typed that name as many times in a day as I’ve done today…)

Crap - I 100% remembered him as her Uncle! I’m clearly losing my classic fan credentials!

Oh I know what it is! We’re doing The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in class and Uncle Andrew is a character in the prequel, The Magician’s Apprentice.

I’m going to edit it!

Maybe Tegan’s grandfather has a son named Andrew Jr. (Thus making Tegan’s Uncle Andrew)

Day 2 Conjecture

Good to have some Fourth Doctor in my day, even if it isn’t the best.

I think that the First Doctor did celebrate Christmas. I think that Susan talked him into it, and after she left, the Doctor resolved to keep Christmas thereafter in her memory. Alternatively, Ian and Barbara complained so much about missing Christmas, (which was about to start when they left, remember) that the Doctor put a tree into the TARDIS just to shut up their complaining.

Why not?
It’s a strong Scottish name!

Okay, finally getting around to joining in!

Day 1

A lovely story, if a little saccharine for my taste. Each year I get more and more indifferrent towards Christmas as a concept, but I enjoyed it anyway.

As for hope? That’s a feeling I struggle with, honestly - I’m not always too great at knowing what name to give feelings. So hope? I suppose for me, it’s familiarity. It’s knowing and understanding. It’s in The Lodger: ‘has anyone ever told you you’re a bit weird?’ ‘they never really stop’. Which might seem an odd choice, but that has always been a moment that has hit for me. It’s in feeling that for yourself, and then seeing that there is still a universe for you

Day 2

I have, of course, seen this before, but it’s still fun. It’s viscerally uncomfortable, and wildly out of character to me, but the whole concept is so silly and funny that I can’t help but enjoy.

As for a classic Doctor’s celebration? I can’t help but envisage Six at a festive table, pulling a cracker and insisting that everyone listen to his joke, his plate piled with food, and the paper crown inevitably destined for the gravy. And of course, he insists that, once dinner is over, his dinner companions play a board game of his choosing - something complicated and alien that only he understands the rules to. But his smile and laugh - they’re infectious, no matter what

Day 3

3rd

We will begin with items from the Adventure Calendars! For our first Adventure Calendar story, we are going to read the last released story, because as we know from Doctor Who, traveling through time in a logical progression is for losers.

Doctor Who and the Horror of Coal Hill, parts 1 and 2 (2017). (Pages 1-12)
Link to Read:
http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/tv/isite-static/doctorwho/stories/doctor-who-and-the-horror-of-coal-hill.pdf
I was of a somewhat split mind into whether to break the reading up into three parts or leave it as one part, so instead it is two unequal parts.
Be sure to remember this link, as you’ll want to read Part 3 sometime soon! When?

Tomorrow. Part 3 will be tomorrow’s item.

No discussion question or activity for today, so channel your cliffhanger aggression into watching this minute long video from the 2012 Calendar.
