The way Mrs Flood seemingly wants to stay hidden from the Doctor = hide and seek. The Toymaker warned us that his legions are coming. Put this together and you have a woman playing a game, so following the vague leaps of logic like those made in this thread, Mrs Flood could be the Toymakerās evil sister or one of his playthingsā¦ a pawn in another game. We donāt have anywhere near enough to properly go on, so anything feels fair game to speculate about.
Itāll be interesting to see if Mrs Floodās motivations and character become clearer as each episode goes on.

People have suggested every female character = the Rani ever since about 2005, in fairness. But also, you just proved your own point in a way. Just because something could fit with something else, doesnāt mean it will do.

He did change the Master up quie a bit.
Iām not saying I donāt like what he did with the character, but people certainly complained about how much had been changed.

Exactly, people often think itās the Rani when itās not. Youāre making my point for me.
And the Masterās motivations here were to build an army to give it to the Doctor for a present, because then he can stop the baddies. It shows how the Master wants to be liked by him, and how the Master misunderstands people in general. It was really good characterisation and not out of character at all imo.
Plus that was Moffat! You canāt use Moffatās writing to explain RTDās.

Letās face it, people thought Missy was the Rani because she is middle aged and female.
She reveals herself to be the Master in the story you just quoted so not a single person on Earth thought she was The Rani after that episode. Makes no sense.

(Thereās also the possibility that wires have been crossed somewhere along the line. We could get the return of the Rani, with Archie Panjabi, but she might be nothing whatsoever to do with Mrs Floodā¦ jus throwing that out there. But I agree with Shauny - this discussion is going nowhere fast.)
I remember when it was rumoured that the First Doctor would be the person in the Vault in Series 10ā¦ he wasnāt, but he did appear in the Christmas special, and it turned out someone was in the Vault. Just an example of how different bits of information can sometimes get muddled in rumours and leaks.

The thing is that she can be the Rani and the leaker might be legit, but as it stands now, we have too little information to know either way, and only time will tell.
If you are embarrassed for not believing a random YouTube commenter, then you get embarrassed very easilyā¦

The only things Iāll say is considering Archie Panjabi if she is the Rani would mean sheās from Hindu background (coincidence? Likely) and not Asian like Evans said in his leak, also he got the ex bf and the planet being named after her right despite the name being slightly altered to Belinda Chandra one and not world
