I love Kerblam, but it is not better than Demons of the Punjab, which is an amazing episode.
Why???
It seems like it…
I think I might actually read some of these reviews to see if they actually have some form of reasoning behind their ratings…

I was really shocked at that one, especially as they seem to be going by ‘general fan consensus’ (shudder) for their reviews, and Remembrance is well regarded by almost everyone!
That’s because it is the best… 4, I would have forgiven them because I will accept that the plot does not 100% make sense (but it’s Doctor Who… is it meant to ‘‘make sense’’…). But THREE??? And they called my Allison useless >:( (which again I accept she a little bit is in the episode but I also love her so there)
Im sorry I shared the link haha
Same here. Timeless Children getting more than half a star? Crazy!
Oh whops just seen that Thread But personally speaking while there are plenty which i disagree with here cough Toymaker and Gunfighters cough, most of those are honestly fair even if I had rated some Stories higher or lower (like I don’t think The Tenth Planet is better than The Massacre). Love seeing The Smugglers with such a high rating!! (I know this one is something a lot to disagree with, but it tells me at the very least that some Thought went into it, even if a lot of it feels like pandering to the fan consensus (especially with the Whittaker era) or some just being a bit baffingly
.
It’s on the one hand heartening to see An Unearthly Child getting laurels, but I have to wonder if that’s symptomatic of the perceived importance of it being the first serial - the very same goes for The Tenth Planet as the last Hartnell outing. I also wonder if that perception aligns with things like the high rating for The Celestial Toymaker and adversely low rating for The Gunfighters, especially given the popular, persistent eighties/nineties fan consensus that seems to operate off that metric. The two ratings I agree with from this list are those for Marco Polo and The War Machines.
Also, the point about Steven and Dodo resembling “children’s entertainers” in their Gunfighters costumes seems strangely out-of-touch. With this being a sixties children’s show, you have to wonder what image they have of the audience.
