I cant find the post but it was right when TDMP was found. Of course maybe they’ll be right but in retrospect I think it was rather over-optomistic/over-hyped by setting expectations. When you hear someone who deals with this stuff day to day make a claim that strong at the start of the year, I expected something else by now. But this new collection from a BBC employe is the first thing Ive heard that even vuagely points to a recovery

The other factor to remember is that the collections they are sure include Doctor Who episodes may not include missing episodes but episodes we already have in the archive.

Tbh I do think we have been quite lucky with missing ep finds lucky in a sense of considering we have a lot animated now as well we haven’t really had a double up of a part found that had an animation come out first

And that there are episodes they could find that would technically be a missing episode, but only a few minutes are actually missing of them at this point, IIRC.

And even if it exists already, maybe parts of a recovered extra copy could be better quality than what we already have, and it can be used to make a slightly better composite. Any recovery is good.

Yes. I would be happy to have improved versions of already recovered episodes, just happier to have ones that are totally missing, especially if it’s one of the ones with basically no telesnaps.
