Pyramids & Genesis.

I may or may not have deliberately tied them both, because they are extremely close

By the smallest of margins, it’s ‘Pyramids’ and ‘Genesis’ for me.

It’s Morbin time

Had a HARD time choosing between Pyramids and Morbius, ended up giving it to Pyramids cause that’s one that I’ll put on in the background while I clean and I end up glued to the screen

Good grief, its like choosing between my two children. Morbius just edges out in this case, mainly cause of Pyramids p4 bagging it down (the TOTT version would be totally even, I physically don’t think I could choose). Terror v Genesis is much simpler however cause I find the latter to be a teensy bit overrated.

I picked Terror mostly to be contrarian and scratch my anti-Nation itch. Was quite pleasantly surprised to see it inch ahead in the results.

Pyramids over Brain is for me, ironically, a no-brainer. Look how they massacred my boy.

Maybe it is contrarian but I firmly believe it is the better story by quite a country mile. Genesis is overrated. It has some brilliant stuff but Terror of the Zygons is a tight, atmospheric almost horror story.

Pyramids Vs Morbius is a toughie for me because I adore both, but I stand by the thought that Pyramids is practically perfect and it just eeks it out for me.

And I’m sorry but Genesis lives up to the hype, even despite the clams! (Yes I’m still hurt it was eliminated first that one time)

Also I totally missed the round with Ark in Space and never got to do my hot take vote :sob:

And I am proud to have done it too..

Maybe we need a badge for when the two of us agree on something, just as Tian and Jamie have pitched for themselves?

Terror of the Zygons also periodically disappears from streaming whilst they renegotiate the rights, same with Seeds of Doom (i think that’s the krynoid one)

Pyramids of Mars has broken more than just The Brain of Morbius’s Brocas Area, destroying its mind in a mind-bending contest 16-13.

Genesis of the Daleks has rolled into a couple wires planted by Terror of the Zygons and has been blown to smithereens, 14-13.

Those two were the closest matches yet, despite being much farther apart in seeding and was all very exciting, even if I’m disappointed to see Genesis lose. We have reached the Semifinals.

Semifinal 1

  • Terror of the Zygons
  • The Seeds of Doom
0 voters

Terror of the Zygons has defeated The Face of Evil and Genesis of the Daleks.
The Seeds of Doom has defeated The Hand of Fear and The Deadly Assassin

Semifinal 2

  • Pyramids of Mars
  • The Robots of Death
0 voters

Pyramids of Mars has defeated The Android Invasion and The Brain of Morbius
The Robots of Death has defeated Planet of Evil and The Ark in Space

The best of luck to our final four.

Seeds vs Zygons… tricky but I do think Seeds is the better story.

Pyramids vs Robots… I know I’ve been Robots’ strongest warrior so far but I didn’t really read the poll properly and voted Pyramids before I could think and doubt myself so I think I’m going to let the subconscious win here

If I had a devious looking face reaction as an option, I’d have used it. But you’re right, it is a tough call. In my ranking, these two are next to each other.

I’m sorry Toos that I betrayed you :sob::sob::sob: I still love you forever and ever

I’m giving it to Robots. Pyramids is great but Leela gives this the edge. Also the fact that it makes me think about the world where Pamela Salem plays Leela
