And I didn’t even expect to write anything this month haha
well done @Mindfog!
Poor Veklin! And her poor TARDIS! SHe’s been having a very bad week so far!
I was holding off until I managed a full house!
Thank you!
Thank you! And well done yourself! Although I don’t think Veklin would thank you!
Well done, both of you!!
today I offer you the prompt ‘vampire au’ in which Allison is turned into a vampire <3
connected to my wider CM vampire au, but there’s no real context necessary
Allison has a bad day. No torture involved, just her messed up psyche. Unhealthy use of alcohol and drugs before this. And also a lot of very explicit self-hatred
The internet went down a few days ago and it returned today. Soulmate AU but I wrote it in a different way
Checking off two prompts for the price of one with this one! (“Patching up a wound” and “I’m the Doctor”.)
In which, as usual, I wish I had the medical knowledge to do Martha Jones justice.
Gahhh, your writing is so good! I haven’t listened to CM, don’t know these characters, haven’t read anything else in this AU — but I don’t need any of that to be pulled in by your descriptions and character feels. Properly horrifying and evocative and fascinating. Well done!
06/11/2025 Tissues
“Pass me the tissues. I’m going to need them.”
The view down the microscope was fascinating. The cells had mutated in just the way that he’d predicted. Deep in the nuclei, he could see how the chromosomes had split and reformed, almost as if the entire organism was feeding off the radiation he’d dosed it with.
His assistant passed a box of slides, labelled “tissue with dystronic irradiation 75%”. He didn’t bother to thank them for it. He’d long gone past pleasantries, like remembering assistants’ names. It wasn’t worth it, as he got through them far too quickly. Experimenting on them was far too tempting after all.
“Fascinating! I do believe these have taken on a green hue. I wonder where that colour comes from? It can hardly be chlorophyll…” He chuckled at the thought.
“Well, sir, I assume that the tissue is absorbing the light at one wavelength and emitting it at a slightly different one.”
“No one asked your opinion! Put these through the centrifuge.” He shoved a rack of test tubes at the lab worker. “Quickly! I don’t want to wait for the end of the war, thank you.”
He rubbed his eyes. They were sore. He knew his eyesight was failing. It was a result of much peering down microscopes and working closely with radiation. It couldn’t be helped. If it got much worse, he’d just have to design a superior optical instrument and wire it directly into his brain. Thankfully, much of his work on life support systems would make that job an easy one. He could not afford to let physical frailty affect his work. It was far too important.
He brushed a few wisps of his thinning hair off his face. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted his reflection in one of the lab’s viz screens. He was looking old. No matter. Age, frailty or any injury wouldn’t stop him now. He had contingency plans for all of them. Even an assassin’s bullet, should it come to that.
He felt sad at his lost looks, but shook himself out of it. “Face it, Davros,” he said to himself. “This is what you look like now.”
Very dark, morbid and beautifully written. I could believe that you know exactly what it feels like to be turned!
Poor Allison! You’ve captured the essence of depression so well here. You clearly have a familiarity with it to be able to write it this well. I’m sorry. Excellent writing.
This is a lovely summation of their story. Beautifully put.
Very nicely done. I love the reference to the Doctor not taking aspirin. You’ve got into Martha’a head very well. Another great piece.
I’m back with something short for the prompt: Psychic Paper
MARTHA JONES!!! Absolutely spot on, really loved this!
Oh the reveal in this one really got me!! Excellent work!
This one made me smile, you got the characters just right!
This is so much fun. I love psychic paper mishaps as a concept, and Rose and the Doctor are just… so very Rose and the Doctor. Lovely work, really acing the characters!
Great fic! I love how 9 acts.
ough my poor girl… </3
this was written in an interesting way, I like it
great work, martha is very well written!
really like this! intriguing to begin with, with a great reveal.
short and fun. I really enjoyed this!
It’s always a sign of a well-written work when you can make me feel so many things without even knowing the POV character. And dang, did you manage that with this one. Knocked it out of the park. My heart hurts ![]()
Thank you so much!!! I’m glad it had that effect :)
