Kings Dragon was actually kind of fun. It was not a perfect characterisation of Amy and Rory, but it was good enough. I really enjoyed the plot and the setting. The side characters were also good! I really like this series of books.
I remember really liking that one as a kid
Iām reading The Story of Martha right now, and so far itās been pretty great!
I think we should do a The Story of Martha vs The Year of Martha Jones someday
Ooh thatād be neat
Finished Nuclear Time, a pretty good timey wimey stories with killer robots. I do agree with @Tian that I wished Amy and Rory were in it more tho
I have so many NSAs I donāt know which one to read next
If only there was a topic that could help you with that
I know but I donāt want to scare everyone away from voting with an enormous poll
Actually Iāll make a poll, I have an idea for making it easier
I need to dig out what i actually own of these - had loads of the 10th doctor ones not sure if i had any 9 ones.
I was suprised to see how few were made after Tennant left tbh - especially for 12 and 13
Has anyone done many of the audiobook versions of these? Iām tempted to try and get into some of them that way!
I have done like 10-15 of them. They are great.
A few. Theyāre worth getting into.
I havenāt done any of the audiobooks, but if you want recommendations for NSAs I can help!
So, hereās a nutty question. Iāve been holding off buying recent books (Caged, Ruby Red, Eden Rebellion, heck even Doomās Day: Extraction Point) under the assumption that there will be paperback releases to follow the exorbitantly priced hardbacks.
Soā¦is that assumption wrong? Is the going price of an NSA simply ~$22 now? With hardback simply being the format?
I was under the impression that all the NSAs were hardbackā¦until I got a copy of the Good Doctor from the library that was paperback, so maybe they will release them as paperback at some point?
The Good Doctor paperback only just came out, so weāll probably have a long wait for the other NSAs
I think what threw me off about the recent ones is the massive jump in price point. I assume when the price was suddenly $6-$8 higher that these must be in the old vein of big-hardback-followed-by-paperback issues, rather than the NSA style of smaller books that happen to be hardback.
I think Iām gonna feel pretty silly about waiting on these.
