They’re so pretty.
They look nice! What is it?
They are Black Archive Books (from what I read at this point basically analysis of different episodes (I chose Rose and Pyramids of Mars as you can see (because one was numbered as 1 and because the other was like on my mind when I ordered))) @deltaandthebannermen has mentioned them a couple times and I kind of got interested in them because of it.
Sounds interesting. Have to look into them.
Of the ones I’ve read, they can be a bit hit and miss. I really enjoyed Simon Guerrier’s one on The Edge of Destruction and James Cooray Smith’s The Massacre is quite good. Didn’t enjoy the one on the Romans though and I’m struggling a bit with the one on Marco Polo. I think it does depend on the author and the angle they choose to take on the story.
Felt gutted when I missed out on the first run of the 14th Doctor’s sonic, so I bit on this version when it was announced because it looks better anyway.
A little bit smaller than I expected, the gold isn’t as strong a colour as I’d hoped and I don’t even like the 60th specials on the whole. I really am a Doctor Who fan in the truest sense. Miserable about everything and putting money down anyway!
I’d like to assemble a Fifth Doctor cosplay one day, and I think I might use this for that as a bit of personal creative licence. I’ll make it feel worth the £35 yet.
I love cosplays that use a different Doctor’s sonic! Just a small touch to make it your own a bit, and can look super cool.
Does the gold 14 sonic have the extra colors of the online exclusive version, or just the regular blue light?
The CDs I ordered during the Lalla Ward sale arrived! I ordered one more, but it went out of stock and I managed ordering before they could take it out of the store.

Talk about Christmas in July…
Finally got around to buying a copy of Ten Days of Christmas, first new delivery I’ve gotten since joining this forum. Not one for snapping pictures, though, sorry.
Probably get to that once I’m through The Darksmith Legacy. Might be Tennant overload…
That can never happen!
New entry in the queue - Watching the original serial and then for the first time ‘The Daleks IN COLOUR’
So The Crimson Hand arrived today and with that I have almost all the released DWM collections, except for The Age of Chaos and Emperor of the Daleks I believe.
I’m also loving these two Dalek figures and I’ve realised that collecting Character Options Dalek and Doctor figures has become my new obsession
Waiting on In Wonderland to arrive and will start reading that.
I’ve just ordered a copy of Warring States, my favorite out of the whole original run of Faction Paradox novels, and I’m super excited for it!
My PS5 came. Had fun opening the box with Wilson.
For the last two weeks I’ve been solely on the PS3, and he’s terrified of the churning disc drive lol. Anytime it croaks, he slaps the PS3. Then I mess with him and eject the disc and he acts like it’s a ferocious beast.
Hopefully won’t have the same problem with the PS5
Second hand too just like all my other consoles. I love breathing life into older tech. And not getting rid of my PS4, I think it’s easily fixable, but I had so many locked PS5 games over the years I took the dive.
A bit banged up, but I am quite pleased to have gotten this one for less than 6£ including postage
I am assuming one of the short comics within must just be a story about how Giuliano and Marco had to hide their blossoming romance from the Italian aristocracy of the 15th century - and being utterly rubbish at hiding their infatuation with each other (just like they were on TV (I’m not the only one seeing that on screen right?))
Interested to read this, especially the stuff about the unmade 10 story, haven’t heard anything about it before
Found these two at a used book store the other day! There were a number of others but these were the two I was most interested in, particularly as I’m aware The King’s Demons is one of the longer novelisations despite being a two-episode story, and I’ve heard good things about the book version of Frontios.
I’ve actually read several chapters of The King’s Demons and I really like it! My favorite kind of novelisation is expanding on televised events, not just repeating them.
