As of late, I’ve become really interested in the prospect of creating fan audio dramas, I have some experience with mixing and mastering audio tracks which creates some foundation for me to work on it lol. If anyone can do a good (or passable I don’t mind) impression of any Doctor, send me a message. also if anyone wants to talk story ideas, would be good to get a message from them also. Let’s see where this rabbit hole goes…

The concept is interesting, but I’m leery about committing to projects that have the potential to fizzle out (especially as you don’t have a portfolio of past fan audios you’ve worked on and I don’t know what your work ethic is like). No offense to the OP because I think it could be a fun project to participate in, but too often do I see people think of projects they want to do, and they never actually get them off the ground[1].
and everyone has their reasons for “why”, so this isn’t me being a naysayer. I’m just thinking broadly. ↩︎

I really appreciate where this is coming from, it’s true that I’m starting from scratch but I do know what I want to do and how to build the foundation for that. When it comes to work ethic, I currently have a lot of time to dedicate towards this and I am qualified to do the Sound Design on projects like this. I’d love to discuss this further though. It’s true that right now this is just an idea but I’d like to lock certain details into place as soon as possible.

Rather than do impressions, a lot of fan audios have their own incarnation of the Doctor.
Just an idea, because a bad impression can make a good story seem bad. So why give yourself that disadvantage right from the beginning?
Perhaps a pre-Hartnell Doctor…

Yeah I can see where you’re coming from but I think that using an established Doctor gives it more weight like you’ve got a great foundation to use, also I’ve never been able to get invested in a fabricated Doctor like that personally.

I’d love to help! I’d be open to some script writing, although I’ve only started dipping my toes into that format recently. I’ve found I really enjoy it though. It sounds like you’ve got sound engineering covered, but if you need any help with that I’d love to contribute. I have more experience with general film editing rather than audio specifically, but I know my way around DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere. After some audio problems with the last short film I did for school, I had to sit down and teach myself a fair amount about messing with audio in DaVinci. I might also be willing to lend a voice.
