Very end of the month unfortunately.

It definitely wont be early. I think mid-late July for it.

Never mind. I misread your post. I saw the “Available” and “30 Jul 25”. I thought that was an official announcement. I missed the poster and the term “TARDIS Guide”. Yeah, I’d expect mid-month. Are there any particular dates in July that would make sense to release it on?

Very much looking forward to this. I’ve listened to that trailer many times already. The closer it gets, the more my anticipation builds.

I’m surprised just how much I’ve missed Thirteen. She’s really rather brilliant. Genuinely a Doctor I’m so keen to spend more time with. More than ready to be whisked away in her TARDIS for more adventures with the Doctor and Yaz. A dream team. You can just hear their lovely rapport in the trailer. Totally different yet there’s something of the unique Second Doctor / Jamie chemistry. Yaz is the definitive companion of Jodie’s era. It also helps, knowing how well Jodie and Mandip seem to get on in real life as well.

When this is released, it’ll be an immediate listen for me.

So I haven’t pre-ordered the rest yet and wasn’t sure if I would, but if I love or even somewhat like Vampire Weekend I’ll just treat it like another subscription service and get them all :star_struck:

I think that story is gonna be good at worst and at best it’ll be like best 13 story.

Once they have the RTD2 rights, one where 13 and Yaz meet Mrs Flood called Killer Queen would be fun also, given that ‘Rani’ technically means ‘Queen’, and obviously the Anita Dobson/Brian May connection to a certain band.

Chris Chibnall gave his blessing to Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill’s Big Finish Doctor Who audio drama, “Vampire Weekend” (set for July).

Former showrunner and creator of the Thirteenth Doctor, Chris Chibnall, gave his blessing to Big Finish to create new stories with her. He told Big Finish’s in-house magazine Vortex, "Yes, that’s why I wanted them to come into their first scene in Flux like they do. It’s to say time has passed, but you don’t know how long. I love the opening of Flux; it’s one of my favourite sequences. We really shouldn’t have been able to do it on our budget, but we did! The Doctor and Yaz have obviously been having a lot of fun.

“So yes, absolutely,” said Chibnall. “That gap between the two series was really deliberate to leave a sense of time having passed, both on screen and in our lives. There had been big events in the real world, what with the COVID-19 pandemic, and it felt like more time had passed than actually had.”

Chibnall was happy to let Big Finish and their writers get on with it, and he could listen to them like a punter.

“I don’t want to know what the ideas for these audio episodes are. I love not knowing, as it’ll be the first adventures for the Doctor and Yaz that I haven’t had any input into or overseen – or any of that stuff. I’ve very deliberately absented myself from it, so it will be lovely to hear other people’s take on it; it’s very exciting. Everybody at Big Finish will get to experience what we did with Jodie and Mandip – they really are two of the greatest human beings. Both wonderful actors and delightful to work with, they bring so much energy and humour.”

Honestly the more I hear from/about Chibnall, the more of a class act he seems

Yep. 100%. A lovely chap. He doesn’t seem to have a huge ego like others I could mention.

Echoing it, I think most could agree on that! Lovely Guy by all the sounds of it!

Tidbit from the latest DWM which I’m told has a couple of pages on the 13DA’s!

I reckon it’ll be quite a loose arc, but still exciting! I’m quite interested in who the recurring character will be that we got teased about ages ago in DWM.
