Is there another order of watching Classic Who

I have now also figured out what it would look like to watch the first episode of every Doctor, then the second, etc., which also has a lot of Tom at the end, but keeps some of the other Doctors going for longer, and it has a couple really fascinating consequences like the order of introduction to Davros

surely the best way to watch is to watch all of the part ones then all of the part twos then all of the part threes… and so on, eventually you’re just gonna be watching trial of a timelord but hey who doesn’t love six

or watch them in alphabetical order of the main villain for that episode’s actor’s mother’s maiden name.

I don’t. I think he is just okay. Better than five thou.

Watch it all backwards then

I sort of agree. I’m not feeling Tom currently, but I still have three stories left in my rewatch round before I get to Peter. Feels like I’ve watched Tom for ages.

I think that I would rate him higher if he had quit earlier.

I think he admitted himself that he should’ve left after Season 17. I tend to agree here. Five seasons, like Pertwee, could’ve been enough.

I don’t know if I can encourage this watch order, but commit to a Year Of Doctor Who where you watch every episode on the day it was broadcast. Note taking encouraged if not downright required

I’ve sometimes joked about how someone should watch the entirety of Classic the way it was meant to be watched, one episode a week with appropriate breaks between seasons. That would mean it would take 26 years to finish Classic, but you’d at least get the authentic experience

Yes, it is the only way. But you have to do it on the same day & time.

So today you can watch -

Tom Baker fatigue is a real thing. For me, when I did my big Who watch through, it set in around Power of Kroll and forced me to take a break for a while before I was motivated to keep going.

The obvious solution to Four fatigue is to stop looking at the doctor and to start looking at Leela or Romana instead  once you’re beyond warrior’s gate I can’t help you though

The way that after I finished Leela on my last watch I was like right. Four. Don’t care lmao

The fun thing is that I’ve been paying much more attention to Romana’s costumes this time around than ever before. She’s so fabulous in almost everything. And it made me a bit sad to realise that Warrior’s Gate is next up for me, so it’s bye-bye Romana

Listening to Gallifrey has definitely made me appreciate Romana much more than before.
