Wanted to come here after the last episode; I genuinely think the show doesn’t even care about River…I love both Rose and River so much (maybe River slightly more? 
) but it feels like the show doesn’t acknowledge the fact that Doctor loved River too. It was never just Rose but the way RTD acts like it is…I don’t know it just feels so wrong. And now the Doctor has Rose’s face 
Sometimes fans also act like Rose was the one and only , I saw a comment saying “They don’t matter , Rose haunts the narrative” like Yaz doesn’t exists as well!

This annoys me so much. Yes, Rose was SO important to the Doctor, but acting like she is THE ONLY ONE who HAS EVER mattered to them and WILL EVER matter completely spits in the face of every other best friend the Doctor has ever had. Rose was great, but so was River, and Yaz, and every other companion. There’s a certain faction of fans who put Rose and the Ten/Rose relationship up on this untouchable pedestal, and it irritates the hell out of me. Rose isn’t special. She’s great, but she’s not uniquely loved by the Doctor

The Doctor still loves her even if the writers don’t.
River is so special to me. I know if I’d grown up British, I’d have imprinted on her and Rose like crazy. I’ve said it before, but she’s like Ms. Frizzle for grownups and I want to be her.
