I’ve kinda been doing that with my polls every ten Main Range releases.
Yeah I’ve not been participating in this Elimination game because I don’t know who most of them are
I think we need to either stick to things everyone knows, or as you said have two running together.
Yeah, that’s why I haven’t been participating in it. I haven’t listened to more than a few audios.
I am open to sacrificing myself if we get some heat in the game… as much as I don’t think Helen A deserves the title but heeeeey she is great.
Me neither but I think that it is okay to not have one running for me right now. Feels like a break. Maybe we could add a rule that after 100 responses you start to remove 3 points and after 150 you can remove 4 points.
Or maybe base it on the time it has been running.
As Shauny said, I haven’t participated in this one because I have limited knowledge about most of the choices.
I was surprised that it was still going when I came back after a couple of days. I think having mixed media ones can be a bit niche.
This seems like a solid idea.
I definitely didn’t expect this to go on as long as it has. I’ll try to make more niche games a little smaller in scale, at the very least.
Speeding things up sounds fine to me, too. However I do feel more popular elimination games can go by pretty quickly with a lot of replies. I wonder if it is less about the number of replies and more about time elapsing? I.e. 3 points after 1 week, 4 after 2 weeks, and so on.
I like the idea of parallel games, too, especially as a lover of more obscure and less popular content. I don’t think its ever been established there only has to be one elimination game at a time, either.
I like that some are more niche even if I don’t participate in all of them.
This is probably better even if it is harder to track.
The problem with changing the rules mid-game is that people don’t remmeber the new rules and make plenty of mistakes, and it all turns into a wibbly-wobbly mess.
Remember what happened the last time we tried to flip the concept, the chaos that ensued…?
That’s a really good point. Rule changes seem to put a lot of random and unreasonable strain on our mods.
I think it would probably be easier to just do a ‘‘mainstream’’ game for a wide audience and a (maybe shorter) ‘‘niche’’ one for us weirdos who have absorbed wayyy to much Who haha I struggle to count to two enough already without new rules
Maybe instead of new rules, we can just drop in and subtract 5 points from the two with 13?
That’ll speed it up.
But… Now you’ve brought Death to Death, doesn’t that bring life?
All the eliminated villains must now surely be brought back into the game… Shall we say at 5 points each?
This is a silly joke, please let’s not prolong this one
Thanks for everyone who participated!
Is it finally over? Can I finally participate again?
It was always going to come down to those final two. Helen A is a brilliant villain (my favourite from Seven’s TV era, even beating Light who’s excellent) and Nobody No-One is in opinion the best villain Big Finish have ever created.
Worthy winners
Wait, it’s over?
Hooray!
(I’m sure it was fun for those who knew the characters)
Made a mainstream one as the next one
I’m the RTD2 fan, so this’ll be fun!
It’s not a big surprise that this was the first to go.
