No.
It’s like with the round things in the TARDIS. Nobody knows what they are, but everyone loves them.

I must say that this last elimination game is not as fun as I thought it would be. It is much more fun to argue about good and semi-good stuff and to talk about the bad stuff. Lesson to be learned: It is fun to be positive.
I think it’s been plenty fun. I think it frankly is positive, given that eliminations are taking off the ones we believe least deserve to be on this list. And, we can’t exactly pretend Doctor Who is always good, half of being a fan is laughing at the bad ones.
I think the fact we saved most of the classic serials just proves that classic Who is the better Who. Who’s with me?
New Who is good but I’m in camp Classic foreverrrr
I like modern more but the classic is also good.
I also think it’s still fun, after all the baddest of them all are different for each people. I don’t think any of my actually “I can’t stand this” are even in the bottom 20 because they are from other media.
I’m New Who all the way… Classic is interesting for me but I’d rather watch a new story 100%
I have some problems with New Who I already discussed in other posts (making the Doctor much of a traditional hero when I prefer more of his dubious side; not in love with the mystery boxes and some companion beats…), but the true reason I prefer classic is very simple: time. 1h30-2h00 stories have more time to breath and much more room to plenty of character moments. With classic I feel I am going through a day with the characters.
We have no RTD era stories left. I guess that tells us who is the best show runner!!!
Ping @BillFiler
I was just typing up a reply about how the reason I prefer the classic series is that stories just go by too fast in the modern series. There are plenty of good episodes, some are absolutely brilliant, but yeah having more time to just enjoy the adventure, let them build a world for us to spend some time in, all of that stuff is unmatched in classic Doctor Who
That’s why most of my favorite stories from New Who… are actually two-parters.
(And that’s why getting rid of the Main Range was a mistake)
Well there are no Verity Lambert era stories either… What’s your point?
The Lambert era is one of the best tbf
That just tells us how good RTD is. As good as:
Lambert is one of the best. RTD is one of the most popular.
I admit you have a point.
It’s not one I agree with, it’s not a correct one and it’s not a good one - but a point you have
And it’s so impressive what she managed to do as a female producer at a time when such a thing was a rarity, particularly in science fiction.
Ok good. Someone saved Underworld. I was going to when my 20 were up. I don’t think it’s fair for it to be on this list when so many of its problems were beyond its control. They full-on ran out of money on that one, and I think it had some interesting ideas, even if it was unable to execute them well.
Only Twelfth and Thirteenth Doctor stuff left.
