Gallifrey - The Audio Series

When I saw the length I was like “wow so it’s a 3 parter of one hour parts!” so mark my surprise when part 1 ended only half an hour in :sob:

A six parter… This really do be a 4th Doctor era story… (NOT a negative)

WHY DOES THE NEW LASSIE CALL BRAX HIS FIRST NAME !!! It makes me so uncomfortable!!!

Currently listening to 6.1: Extermination and am the point where the Daleks are breaking into the armory. Romana’s little speech after the last door is breached seems to mirror Eccleston’s “No” speech at the end of Bad Wolf, and I’m loving it.

Her moment with the Dalek is so epic :star_struck:

How did Narvin go from trying to keep Leela from antagonizing the Axis Controller to being the guerilla fighter we see in War Room?

The Time War makes him really really really depressed :sob: Narvin’ characterisation is insane, like listening to him in s1 compared to TW should be like two different characters and yet listening to the progression, it does just make sense

Telling my mate about Gallifrey and the journey it’s been, and the literal vocal reaction (this is not an exaggeration, I just said this out loud for real) I had to Erasure’s ending:
“whats great about gallifrey is theres one character on the TGuide forums folks are obsessed w and i didnt get it and i didnt really care for him at first. Anyway. i just listened to a short trip about him and went “oh my baby boy <3” at the end”

That is the Narvin lover pipeline folks! It’s utterly inescapable!

I’ve listened to the first three episodes of season one. Loved them. Recently picked up the final entry there and plan on re-listening to the others so I can just experience it in a straight shot. I love Leela and Romana in this series.

Can anyone tell me though when Charley’s appearance in episode four takes place in her timeline? Or is it explained in the story?

I know there’s like twenty years worth of story to catch up on, but I definitely want to!

It’s not Charley! It’s her horrid sister, and it’s some time after Neverland.

Happy you’re enjoying though! Welcome to Gallifrey obsession land!

Renaissance is… interesting. Yes, I have listened to it before so I know the twist, but it’s been ages. I’m really not sure where I fall with Trey. There’s something off about her, I can’t figure out her plan here. I know she’s playing a game with Romana, Narvin and Leela, but I can’t tell to what end. I’m not sure that I like her. She’s not one of the good guys to root for, but she’s not a bad guy per se, like say Darkel where you can’t wait for her inevitable downfall. It’s annoying.

She’s almost ethereal - I don’t think you’re meant to like her as such. She’s definitely a suspicious and devious character, but her ultimate aim is to help our trio because of course her whole scheme is put in place by our Romana to begin with because Trey isn’t and never really is real. She’s a very interesting character, and I think her murkiness adds to that intrigue

I knew (from the Wiki) about the true origins of the Dogma Virus, but couldn’t remember that being revealed. Now I know (and will hopefully remember longer).

I loooove her murkiness and dubious morality :star_struck:

Finished Ascension. Having heard all the Time War sets makes Narvin’s descision hit even harder.

I really am not emotionally ready for the Time War sets based off what yous have all been implying…

Basically, it’s an even more emotional roller coaster for our leads and the stakes feel a lot higher. They’re really good (even if I don’t think I’ve listened to any since they released).
