They take it away forever, alas. There are ways to download things off Sounds but none of them are above board, unfortunately
Would you believe yt-dlp can download it?
Just finished this, quite a nice listen to be honest. Nothing groundbreaking in terms of ‘secrets’ but its quite a lighthearted enjoyable listen with lots of cameos!
It was really lovely. As you said, nothing special but cosy.
I’m going to bet at least 10/20, but I might be underestimating myself.
If one of my tough quiz questions for Planet of Giants is a math problem, how upset would people be?
I would like it
It would make me want to throw my phone out the window. So no pressure, but don’t be surprised if I send you the invoice for a new one…
And don’t forget. There are still bonus questions to make up points.
I generally don’t get any points on your quiz. My hope is that I can get a point on the maths question now
As part of my costume for the show I’m in dress rehearsal for, I wear a green bow tie. Bow ties are cool!
Because Jubilee and The Chimes of Midnight are being novelised, does that mean we’re eventually going to get audiobook versions of them
Maybe. I mean, it’s definitely possible, I just find that possibility rather amusing.
@sircarolyn, @Jae, discovered a Big Finish Podcast with a Sean Carlson interview if you’re interested.
Oh nice, might put that on some time soon!
I doubt it. Doctor Who fans are unlikely to buy another version of the same story.
(Looks at Shada…)
And then BF could adapt them into audio dramas in their Novel Adaptations range
We’ve got a Mission to Magnus audiobook coming out, so who knows
It was as expected. Although I thought we were in for something juicy when Jane Tranter said, “Well I would love to say that my major contribution is providing a strong creative wholesome arena for everyone to do their best work in. But I think we all know that’s not true.”
I realise how strongly people dislike AI, but when I get a new AI model running locally on my computer, I do feel like I need to give it the Doctor Who test, and this came out interestingly…
(You don’t need to put anger emojis and thumbs down emojis on this. I kinda assume it…)
Oh, in case anyone is curious, the actual prompt:
A picture of the 10th Doctor from Doctor Who as played by David Tennant with Scottish Jamie McCrimmon wearing a kilt and standing in front of the TARDIS on an alien landscape with a green sky and a orange desert and pterodactyls flying in the air.
The BBC logo is at the top left, and at the bottom right, there is text saying “Doctor Who”. The text at the top of the TARDIS says “POLICE BOX”.
