I mean, there’s no better than this original companion, Professor Marius. And he has a thing for prefessors, which is why Gryffen is another great. But the most loyal companion must be Leela II.

Most of these are from that old Doctor Who show, or are Sarah Jane’s companions, not K9’s

Well, as we all know, I am a bit in a niche in the K-9 fandom and my most beloved companions of his are of course Leela and Romana. They go through a really special evolution in the K-9 spinoff called gallifrey, you’ve probably not heard of it, but there are some amazing K-9 moments in there

I think his best Companions were easily Romana II, Ace, Leela & Sarah Jane! All had their lovely Moments and were just wonderful! Especially thanks to said niche Spin-off, which @Jae already mentioned, some of those Characters get really fleshed out, which is just quite wonderful!

It really goes downhill once they have episodes with no K9 though, that was a stupid idea by them to not include the main character

Yes, it’s really sad how they decided to remove him. Romana and Leela are great, but they just don’t work without K9. It is really special how this spinoff has K9 on K9 action though, I really encourage everyone who has wanted Multi-K9 stories to check it out

Justice for Starkey - no character before or since has had the same bond shown with K9. Truly a match made in heaven. (And such superb acting from Keegan Joyce).

Leela. It’s not even a competition. They have a really special bond that I feel no other companion really matched.
