Wait if the 11 guy left does that mean 12 doesn’t have a voice either?

I hate how much the episode focused on Poppy, like who cared :sob:

Also the way Belinda’s story ended up was just truly awful.

We have 9 for now. If Billie is really the Doctor I highly doubt she is coming back for a fifth 9th Doctor series for some time; and if there isn’t a Rose with Eccleston anymore I think the 9DAs are going on hiatus.

I did liked some of the episodes!
The visuals generally were great, and I thought Ncuti and Varada were fantastic.
Lux had a cool villain, the Well was really tense, the story & the engine had some unique concepts and I loved the setting, and I had a fun time watching the interstellar song contest.
My main problems are the characterisation of the Doctor and Belinda. 15 didn’t feel distinct enough to me. Other doctors have recognisable styles and phrases and can be described in a few words because they Are different from their other incarnations, and I didn’t get this from 15. He didn’t have a theme, or grow and change over the course of the episodes. I also didn’t like how Belinda went from standing up to the Doctor, to being friends with him. The pantheon/fantasy stuff isn’t really what I want from Doctor who, for a whole two season arc, although I do like it for an episode or two

This is the kind of statement I would normally scoff at a bit, but I’ve been stewing on this episode and season arc for a few hours and honestly, I’m kind of starting to think this way as well, for a few reasons. I’m travelling for work over the next few days, but when I get back, I think I’m going to do a longer reply on exactly why I think this too. I don’t like being a downer, but I think a lot of this episode is symptomatic of a show that isn’t in the best of health, I’m really sad to say :sob:

Would’ve been better if I didn’t know who 16 was NGL

I hate that this could happen when the show is at its most diverse. But there is a small, tiny part of me that gets like ā€œwait… what if… wilderness years 2.0ā€¦ā€

I do have to say that as much as I think Doctor Who can go on forever, and that’s beautiful, I think if we ever get to, like… thirty incarnations? It could feel too much for me. I already have a billion Doctors to follow through!
