Looms were right there!

like the thing is right. Wish World was all about ā€˜isn’t it terrible that his world is all about women being housewives only’ and then Reality War turns around and gives Belinda an entirely new life?? One with a baby?? It makes the whole point of her being a mother??? IT LITERALLY PUT HER IN A BOX OUT OF THE WAY???

Actually, that’s a point, In THREE DOCTORS OMEGA’S WHOLE ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  THING IS THAT HE’S BEEN IN THE ANTI-MATTER UNIVERSE SO LONG HE DOESN’T HAVE A BODY.

So

Russell

Russell please

please tell me why you decided to make his design JUST A BODY

0 of his classic iconography, that was NOT Omega

Ok hear me out, what if Billie isn’t playing the Doctor, but is actually playing Rose, and the regeneration swapped Rose and the Doctor, and we’ll end up with Ncuti back in S3.

What if the whole regeneration thing was some fake out to trick people who read leaks or something. I’m coping a bit but I have hope

I didn’t actually mind the big CGI Omega design. He is literally nothing but a consciousness at this point so it makes sense that any form he wills into being is an ugly, screaming monster

I know we’re off-topic now, but I liked the concept of it, but didn’t buy it with Sylvia specifically. I would have been more on board if (ignoring the practicalities of the situation) it had been Wilf struggling and then Sylvia snapping, ā€œOh, Dad, don’t be daft!ā€ Sylvia seems like the family member who had never heard of trans people before but is somehow your top supporter.

Perhaps that could be seen as a metaphor for the entirety of RTD2 - your expectations? Convention? Niceties, etiquette, structure, taste? Bollocks, the lot of it! I’m just going to ride this little scooter right through all of that rubbish like a manic, low-RPM boss.

I agree that it feels like another ending was intended originally.

I did wonder whether Poppy would end up being the Timeless Child that was abandoned and ended up becoming the Doctor. It would tie in to the idea that the Doctor was half-human on their mother’s side.

I’m not sure how Susan would have figured into that but perhaps it would have somehow prompted the Doctor to search for his granddaughter.

He sees himself as a god though, why is his ā€˜godly form’ just big ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  skull baby

Do people actually type squares, or is that automatic?

She ate (gay slang)

Then she got ate (nom nom)

I think you’re right, but I think people would get mad if Wilf did it, because he’s so loveable and nice, meanwhile Sylvia is borderline an antagonist during S4.

I went to a talk by RTD a few years ago at my uni, around October 2023, and this lovely autistic person asked a question, saying ā€œI was wondering if you’ll have more autistic people in the show in the future, I’d like to see thatā€.

And RTD’s reply was ā€œWho’s to say there hasn’t been some alreadyā€.

Which, sure, of course.

But that sort of sums up how I feel about his approach to representation in the show. Should’ve seen the sidelining of Rose Noble like a freight train.

Cause he is a big screaming baby :woman_shrugging: idk man, it looks cool

If the next headline isn’t ā€œRTD set to leave after final special featuring Billie Piperā€, I don’t know if I can sit through a Season 3 and 4.

Why oh WHY did he have to regenerate? I’d rather he was injured or something.
