Episode Discussion: The Reality War

Just remembered that this is dangerously close to the plot of In The Forest of the Night

Is that confirmed?

The special hour-long episode of Unleashed will land on Saturday 7th June at 6am on BBC iPlayer. It will also air on BBC One Wales at 6.20pm and BBC Three at 7pm later that day. This is exactly a week after Doctor Who’s epic season two finale The Reality War . Previous episodes are available to watch now in the Whoniverse on BBC iPlayer .

Maybe this Unleashed will just be David and Billie doing a dramatic reading of what S3 would’ve been :sob:

Any known news on whether it’ll be uploaded to YouTube or similar platforms? I’m unfortunately outside the UK and iPlayer does NOT like VPNs.

Lets hope that they put it on youtube

No clue, but seeing as how Unleashed made its way to YouTube during S2, and the backlog, I should expect it’ll be there!

NordVPN bebs.

iPlayer picks that up for me unfortunately, and gets proper mad at me for it.

I’ve tried ExpressVPN, NordVPN and Surfshark and they’ve all been detected by it. Perhaps they’ve just got a personal vendetta against me.

That’s a good video!

There is so much to love about Doctor Who, and especially these last 2 seasons, one finale with bits you don’t like in shouldn’t ruin the whole thing!

Doctor Who will always have a special place in my heart, and no awful writing will change that, because ultimately Doctor Who is special to me for the memories I hold of it. The main show always fluctuates in quality, ranging from the best cinema on the Earth to absolute unspeakable trash, and after The Episode That Shall Not Be Named, I think it’s clear that we can survive a bad episode.

I think for many of us, Doctor Who holds a special place in our heart(s?), and sometimes it can feel like the main show doesn’t appeal to us anymore. But to me, that doesn’t detract from the connection we all have to this series, the parts we love about the show will always be there, we’ll always be able to go back to it. And even when the main show disappoints us, there is always the EU to keep us entertained.

Now, if you’re wondering what episode I was referring to with “The Episode That Shall Not Be Named”, the answer is There is no answer, it’s like a choose your own adventure book, you decide what episode I’m referring to. Personally, I hope that this little tangent can match the quality of the adventure books we’ve been reading during the read-alongs

Wait I never even considered until watching this that now there’s 2 Poppies out there who are identical :sob:

Well, not identical - Captain Poppy can speak, and pilot a space station. I don’t think Belinda’s Poppy can do that.

Skill issue on Belinda’s daughter’s part tbh

Was going to ask why Billie isn’t listed on the story page of Tardis guide but she’d have to be down as ‘Unspecified Rose Tyler looking character’ for now

If The Doctor did all that to save Dugga Doo instead of Poppy this would have been a good episode
