This episode is technically the best full episode of New Who if you rank them all on a scale of ‘has the 8th Doctor’ to ‘doesn’t have the 8th Doctor’.

So I’m glad it won, even if it isn’t as well-constructed as Village of the Angels.

Zagreus is the best ever anniversary story. The best ever multidoctor story. In the top 3 8th doctor stories. It has a compelling story, great characters (including Romana and Leela) and the best doctor, an amazing soundtrack, a good villain. Without it Gallifrey would not exist!! Overall it’s the ideal story.
