Ambassadors is Toby Hadoke’s favourite story. I think it tends to rank low because it was one of the last stories to be released on VHS so lots of fans hadn’t seen it when ‘official rankings’ were being formed.
I finished Ambassadors of Death!
Season 7 keeps knocking it out of the park, with hit after hit after hit.
I thought tha was a very good story, the final two episodes being highlights for me.
Next up is the highly regarded Inferno, which I look forward to, although it’ll be very sad to say goodbye to Liz. She hasn’t had enough time to shine on screen.
Even sadder when you consider that she doesn’t even receive a proper goodbye!
I know, when I start Season 8 I’ll be like ‘Where’s Liz?’
But I do think I’ll like Jo.
There’s a brilliant story set in S8 with BF where Liz appears and meets Jo!
Honestly, for a good while, you’ll hate seeing each companion go, but the next companion is also great…
You and me both! She’s just gone and never mentioned again!
She’s kind of impossible not to like. She’s so young and sweet and genuinely nice. She has a bit of a rocky start but proves her worth quickly!
Just started Inferno!
Is that Jago or Litefoot???
Ah yes, a Henry Gordon Jago descendant!
Christopher Benjamin has been in the TV show 3 times.
A positively prolific performer with a plethora of powerful productions!
– Henry Gordon Jago, probably
Inferno was another phenomenal story!
That’s Season 7 done, and it gets a double thumbs-up!
This was such a good series, and the Third Doctor a now one of my favourites!
Sadly Liz didn’t get anything close to a farewell scene…
While I’ll miss her, I’ve still got plenty to look forward to!
I’m super excited to start Season 8 now!
I’m going to watch the next story ASAP!
The Autons are going to return, I’m going to meet the Doctor’s new friend Jo Grant, and a terrible enemy will make his first appearance…
Only just started episode 1 of Terror of the Autons and I just want to say Jo is great already!
And with that you’ve arguably watched some of the very best of Classic Who - there are going to be loads of stories that fall below, but also many stories that are on par (or above) the S7 stories.
Hey! You’re not supposed to know that!
Besides, he actually made his first appearance in The War Games
She is, isn’t she? And she only gets better!
He literally comes on screen in the first ten minutes and says 'I am commonly referred to as the Master’s so…
Well, no.
Ooo I better speedrun season 7 if I want to catch up /j, honestly though as much as I hate to say it, I think skipping ahead to the 3rd Doctor was the right move, even if I missed out on some all time great episodes (I just like colour too much)
I still like the story about how, when the Brig turned around in his chair wearing the eyepatch… everyone else there had also put on eyepatches without him knowing.
This is definitely how I feel. But the great thing is you can always go and dip in to a 60s episode whenever you’re in the mood for it! That’s what I plan to do.
Yeah, I’ll occasionally dip back to watch the first 2 Doctors, feels the best way to experience it, almost as if it was a weekly show and not designed to be binged
I am pleased to hear that you enjoy it, the last time I tried to rank the Seasons/Series, this was easily at my second Spot, such a good Season (and 3 is not even one of my favorites from classic, which should speak volumes how GOOD it is!)
We all have our days when we utter nonsense, but don’t make it a habit
Indeed! And if you ever find yourself wanting to get a Taste of the second Doctor, may I advise watching The Mind Robber? Not a very typical Who Story, but honestly one I find very easy to get into it as a Beginner for Classic.
Now there’s a man named Bill Baggs….
