Doctor Who Would You Rather?

I’d rather create and write an audio range because I could use characters that couldn’t be on screen again (due to the character being unable to return without a massive retcon, if the actor has aged too much to play the character again on screen, etc).

Oh, showrunner for sure. I’d be better at leading a team of cool writers that create a story together than being the sole writer for an audio range. Plus, I get to play with the visuals! My TARDIS interior!!! Me dressing the Doctor+Companions however I want!!!

Be the Doctor Who showrunner for one season. It would be best season ever!

My season would have 175 45 minute episodes plus a 3 hour finale.

Do I still abide by all this?

Ack, I’m so far behind on these! Well, here goes:

  1. I’d write a cult classic, since I assume I took those meh elements and did them the way they were always supposed to be done…hence cult classic. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

  2. UNIT all the way, because I’m either in Pertwee’s era with The Brig, or in modern with Kate, so it’s a win-win…and also because I assume if had worked for Torchwood, I’m dead now.

  3. P.R.O.B.E. for the simple reason that I’ve seen all the '90s episodes/films and none of Counter-Measures.

  4. Gallifrey, although polio was tempting…

  5. Be exterminated - that way I won’t hurt anyone else.

  6. Classic Who, though I would miss 12/Clara terribly. Okay, after reading further, if those Blu-rays count, I’m changing my vote to NuWho, haha.

  7. Audio > Books > TV > Comics

  8. 12 and Clara is the easiest one here so far. So easy. No thought required. At all.

  9. I’d rather create the multi-season audio, for two reasons. One - I feel like I’d have so much more creative freedom to include whatever and whomever I wished; and Two - I would be so frustrated with a 5-episode+1-Special season (just assuming that’s the allotment by the time they make me showrunner  )(I’d also feel badly for my leads because, despite my CGI budget now rivaling Hollywood tentpoles, I can only afford to pay them $13 and a chicken dinner per episode…)

Audio Range, don’t really want to be Showrunner for such a short Time (especially with only 8 Episodes), also being Showrunner for Who is a Nightmare, considering how many Eyes are on you (and in general what a stressful job it really is). I do think I’d be also a horrendous Showrunner, so there is that!

Godddd this is a tough one… but like… I want Classic Who back… and lose the license doesn’t mean ‘all audios get nuked off the face of the earth’, plus it might mean more Benny again

There is no would you rather that could convince me to let Big Finish lose the licence, especially 6 days before Hooklight 2

I know… but I’ve been waiting so long now that I almost believe we’ll never get it :smiling_face_with_tear:

And I really really want The Feast of Steven…

Idk how I’d cope without BF and soon enough we’ll have animations for everything so!

Hmmm I’m not sure.
I haven’t seen enough of Classic Who to want the missing episodes loads, but as I’m listening to older BF stuff, I haven’t been paying much attention to the current and future releases, so I don’t really know what I’d miss by losing the license.

(However, @Jae’s point is very convincing…War Room 3!!!)

Tough Choice, but going to choose the classic Who Option. I feel like BF losing the License, while a loss for sure is not something that has to be a Thing forever, unlike with finding more Classic Who. Who knows how long some of those old Tapes still have left before they are in such a poor State.

(Guys, remember the Classic Who Option doesn’t say they lose the License forever  :face_with_peeking_eye: )

No brainer. Nick down the job centre, and let’s have those Master Plan blu-rays.

Seeing the lost episodes be found, but I want for Big Finish to keep the license on the teeny tiny off chance that there’s ever a third Rani Takes on the World boxset.

Showrunner. Got a mortgage to pay for.

I wonder how it would affect things if Big Finish lost the license… and it was given to BBV?
