Delta, I’m already in one laughing fit. Let me get my breath back before I start laughing again.
Just correcting my embarrassing spelling mistake. Don’t mind me - hate typing on my phone!
omg no way, that’s all i’m going to be thinking of now listening to this
Just ordered it. Can’t wait to hear Elaine the Pain from Tracy Beaker as some form of magician.
Also, I know this is meant to be the grand return of Alex MacQueen… but God this cover has completely memed his face.
Genuinely, it reminds me of this Jim Carrey meme.
Please welcome, Chad MacQueen!
I nearly passed out when I first realised this comparrison, I was laughing that much.
I knew that Sirens Redux wasn’t going to be the only thing they’d do for the company’s 25th but this came as a shock. I was expecting something like this would be saved for Charley’s anniversary.
& McGann’s face has been flattened out.
I’m just glad we’ll actually be getting something decent for the 25th Anniversary.
Rather than just “here’s our awful first outing repackaged and with the first three parts jumled, enjoy suckers!”
I rather enjoy The Sirens of Time.
I can’t unsee it now! His poor face
8th Doctor meets the aliens from Flatline
Very cool Idea, shame I won’t be able to attend, but very exciting! Would be great if they had a livestream of it, but oh well.
But hey, MacQueen is back!!! Now use him more, BF, please.
I’m free and in London then, absolutely going to try and grab a ticket
The first thing I thought was: Whaat?
The second thing I thought was: Whaaaaaaaat?
The third thing I thought was: I’m going to be first in line to go!
The fourth thing I thought was: I can’t go because I’m not in the UK (as usual, it sucks to be an international fan!).
The fifth thing I thought was: WHAT THE HELL HAVE THEY DONE WITH PAUL’S FACE???
My friend is going to the UK tomorrow you reckon I can hide in her suitcase and just stay there until September?
It’s an appropriate one for 25 years of Doctor Who at Big Finish: the Doctor who only truly got to flourish in the medium, his first companion, Big Finish’s very own incarnation of the Master and the Daleks for good measure. On paper all sounds good, but nothing particularly special, as exciting as the celebration and doing a live version is there is a feeling of “been there, done that” for me.
I’m not sure I’m going to pick it up although I’m tempted. £16 for a single 90 minute story I’m not even particularly excited by doesn’t sit quite comfortably, and from the Doctor Who website’s article it sounds like it’ll have a second release using a recording of the live reading, having one and not the other feels like it’d bug me too. Not worth it!
The live event must be a special experience tbough, I hope everyone who goes enjoys the reading.
I’m stupidly excited for this. At once I find it both wonderful and kind of silly, but I’m defo buying a ticket tomorrow. What other chance will there be to see the Eighth Doctor on stage? Really hoping that like McGann is in costume for this.
I mentioned this was happening to my mother and she said if this were in November when she is on long service leave she would’ve considered going to England to see it. Goddamit the big finish release schedule strikes again. I could never afford to go on my own I am BROKE.
Just managed to get in and order myself two tickets for it! Im ecstatic!
Bloody hell that was stressful! Got in at 10.00am and went through process for booking tickets and then got told none were available after paying!
Tried the other link and went through the process three times, confirming payment every time and still got nothing! (Hoping I haven’t been charged three times but nothing is showing on my banking app)
Tried the first site again and finally got 4 tickets!!
Got a ticket!
