It’s bound to be a classic! I just hope there’s not too much farting!

Yay!

Oh

I think that the Slitheen get an unnecessary bad rep. Boom town is a great episode.

They are better in the EU than on TV. And in SJA!

And if you’re going to do a story celebrating the launch of the new series, it’s hard to ignore the visual of the Slitheen and how it permeated the promotion - they’re on the bedspreads, they were some of the first toys (including the walkie talkies), they were in the first two-parter, they were the first monster to return. I can absolutely see why RTD would choose them to write about.

Dammit - I haven’t even finished the last issue!

I don’t know why but I’ve been finding the magazine less and less engaging as a read. Something about the new editorship hasn’t clicked with me.

But I also can’t stop buying it because of FOMO.

It’s called getting older and believing everything was better in the good old days ;)

I still enjoy most issues and read almost every feature. It’s the only magazine I still subscribe to.

Down with Slitheen! Justice for the Moxx of Balhoon, who I believe may have been the first promoted ‘monster’ back in 2005? I recall speculating he’d have a larger presence than he ended up getting.

Inside series 1… :eyes:

Probably a sanitised view of what happened…

Interested to read the 32 page supplement. Wasn’t a DWM reader at the time so the Production Notes from 2005 will be totally new for me.

I read lots of this issue this morning, all the Season 2 stuff and the comic(s)

Good stuff! I’ll add the comics to the site in a bit.

I hope to find time today to begin reading my copy. I’ve seen all the juicy bits already, though…
