This is why cats are the superior pet!

Weirdly I never had an incident, not to any of my families knowledge, but my dad had a phobia of dogs, granted his was nowhere near as bad as mine. I’m like really terrible with it, and its ruined a lot of opportunities for me growing up which sucks. Still causes issues to this day as my in laws have three and I just won’t go to their place.

I’ve only met Colin once, but he scalped me three times in a single day (and read me like a book). I won’t be elaborating :-p

That being said he definitely made me feel special. Even though everyone says he’s a friendly guy, I went into that con bracing myself for the “inevitability” that I’d come out no longer being a fan of his. I’m happy that wasn’t true.

I’m so sad I’ve never met any of the Doctors! McGann had went to an Aberdeen con while I was living there a couple years ago, but I didn’t go because cons are a social experience for me and I didn’t have anyone to go with

I don’t care if he’s just saying hello, get him the ■■■■ away from me

I used to have a colleague who brought hers in a couple of times to the office (our HR manager…) despite knowing I had my phobia and I was on EDGE. Despite it being a separate room and I never saw it I was so worked up. My boss also found it annoying she couldn’t bring hers into work because of me (I think it’d be disruptive anyways but thats my 50p). I’ve found out since leaving she does take him in now lol.

Maybe we should have a Phobia thread?

Can’t say I agree. The allergy doesn’t help though.

When I met Jenna Coleman, granted, it was my second drinks reception of the night, and I’m a lightweight, but I could just feel the grin on my face, and just how much I was just beaming when she was at my table. I wasn’t inappropriate, but I certainly felt awkward. There’s a confession. I did at least get the words out about how she’s my favorite and everything, and she remembered me at the photo op the next day, so that’s a plus.

Oh wow, that was horrible! I felt like sinking through the floor just by reading about it. But thanks for sharing; it’s good for us to know that even the best of us make mistakes…

Ouch. Fortunately, Colin seems like a really decent chap and he must’ve heard plenty of similar things before, so he takes it calmly.

I told Colin I think he’s great, and that I was glad Big Finish gave us more of his character, something like that.

I told Colin that I find him incredibly attractive as he is now, in his older years. Aged like a fine wine.

If you added “better than Sylvester” it would have made his day.

Unfortunately I’m not really one for banter and I wanted to express my admiration genuinely, without any jokes that may water it down.

Would you say you’re “against bantering?”
