You catch up with the Doctor and Amy, who are investigating something suspicious with the gas company. The Doctor’s scanner detects a dangerous concentration of toxic gases, some from the Praxis range—unusual for this planet. Concerned, the Doctor suggests Amy should find your missing school group, who might be in serious danger near the refinery.

You follow the Doctor through a refinery as he searches for clues to stop a looming disaster. Suddenly, screams erupt — a giant creature is attacking the school party. The Doctor identifies it as a Macra, a monstrous, crab-like alien. Chaos erupts as it hurls a school kid and charges toward you, spraying slime. Amy screams for you to look out!

You wake up with a headache, safe in a side lab with Amy, who explains she dragged you and the Doctor away after the Macra went berserk. Suddenly, the Doctor bursts in full of energy, urging you both to follow him — there’s more work to do and something important to see.

Inside a high-tech lab, the Doctor and Amy learn from Professor Banahan that the Macra are being used to absorb toxic by-products from the refinery, forming a symbiotic relationship. However, the Macra are agitated due to recent disturbances. To resolve the situation, the Doctor suggests they go talk to the Macra directly.
Interview with Macra - on 84!
The Doctor uses his sonic screwdriver to calm the Macra and enters a gas-filled chamber where he communicates with their leader. The Macra explain their wish to help Earth by absorbing toxic gases and propose a Macra Accord — a partnership to fight pollution. Some will stay and aid humanity, while others return to space. The Doctor is delighted, and the Macra thank you all for your help.
The adventure ends with peace, cooperation — and one unforgettable school trip!

What the heck it just suddenly ended with no more choices?!
That’s not how to do one of these books!! 
And it was so well made until today

Also, didn’t those Macra at least nearly fatally wound a bunch of school children? Why is the Doctor just like “aww, they were having a bad day”?
Also why were the Doctor and Amy there in the first place if they were what caused the Macra to go berserk?
Also why is everybody so calm about a clearly very dangerous and unstable symbiotic relationship?
Why did we get like five different pages in a row without choice and then the end?
That was dumb.
Oh it was all going so well until YOU ALL DECIDED TO LEAVE A GROUP OF CHILDREN TO THEIR FATE BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO STICK WITH THE WEIRD GUY!
Why do these books always disappoint?!? I’m going to give it a re-read and try out some of the other branches.
