The Jade Pagoda! :tardis:

This is one I’ve read twice and enjoyed it both times.
I’ll wait for a bit to say anything more about it to not give anything away for those who haven’t read it yet.

Love Ruby Duvall though :slightly_smiling_face:

Happy reading :books:

Iceberg is a book with a whole lot of fluff and for well over half of it, it barely even feels like Doctor Who.

We’ve got no Ace or Benny and the Doctor is mostly absent, leaving us with one time character Ruby, who turns out to actually be great as the protagonist.

But unfortunately, the Cybermen feel dull and the story is a whole lot of nothing. Fun but unimpactful.

This one ends really well with some great, triumphant moments but I found it pretty dull otherwise. Far too many characters and a super slow plot. But I like Ruby a lot!

It never fails to amaze me that, for a while in the 90s, David Banks was determined to corner the market in all things Cyber what with this novel and his Cyberman book. And then, of course the ArcHive Tapes (sort of audio readings of bits from his Cyberman book).

I read the prelude last night and started on this. A few chapters in, it’s interesting so far.
