Controversial opinion alert (that is actually controversial, feel I have to state this lol) I really don’t care that this story never came out and never will. Like, I completely understand and respect why it hasn’t, and any hate directed at BF for it is ridiculous. Wasn’t their decision at the end of the day either.

“Torchwood: The Lost Stories”
was going to be a joke, but now that i think about it that would be a great boxset

I think the only reason why most people care is because it’s “lost media”

They are running out of lost stories rapidly

Dabbled a bit into TLS, a few do seem a bit pointless like here’s a slightly different script but it’s about 90% the same TV story

I’ve heard nearly all of TLS

I need to hear more of them, buts there’s about 800 ranges i wanna listen to more rn.
We really are a spoilt fandom

I mean, to the same extent a scene can save a episode. I don’t care for Love & Monsters for most of its runtime, but I love the scene Rose and the Doctor pays Elton a visit because he hurt Jackie’s feelings. And because of that I remember Love & Monsters fondly.

Well, don’t know much Torchwood, so that’s why I care about it.

But generally if something got done to a releasable state and then wasn’t released, I tend to get irritable about it, as I feel it should have been released. That’s one reason Warner Brothers majorly irritated me with Batgirl, though they followed it up doing a bunch of other bad stuff too…

Off topic ik but on the one hand I feel awful that Absent Friends never released cuz Ianto content…

But on the other hand, I like to think Ianto would despise 10 for what happened at Canary Wharf, and I doubt that tension would’ve carried over into the audio.

And based on the scripts, it didn’t seem to go in that direction either.

I still haven’t managed to finish Transit, but the drop from the high of Love and War is the biggest gap I think I’ve felt. 5 stars to what will probably be ½ a star!

I would disagree here though too because if a story is ‘overall’ not great (in my opinion), one scene isn’t going to make me enjoy the whole thing. I quite like the ‘daisiest daisy’ scene in The Time Monster but the story as a whole is terrible.

What I’m trying to say is that if I like a story overall, one poor scene can be ignored. Conversely, if I dislike a story, I can enjoy an individual scene but it won’t make me like the whole story (and I’m not really sure why it would).

I’ve seen it elsewhere on this thread, but it would have to be The Waters of Mars :right_arrow: The End of Time Part 1 for me as well, which is IMHO the worst revival Who story and something that not even Wilf can bring above half a star.

Good episode bad decision feels like a real pattern in 2020s televised BBC’s Doctor Who.

I took the intent as “Listen to children; they do usually know better about some things.” But I see how some people would interpret it other ways.

Not to get all EU but I do sort of want to get all EU about the End of Time now, that thing about the title made me want to.
