I’m so glad they’re sticking with half-hour stories! They worked so well last year. Less pleased about the Daleks but the writers look super varied and interesting! Very excited for this one!

Let’s just say that the original tale was far from child-friendly, as is the case with most of the classic fairy tales usually associated with Disney these days.

One of my favourite pasttimes is telling my classes about the original gruesome versions of fairy tales - from Cinderella’s stepmother cutting off the heel and toe of her daughters so the shoe will fit; to Rapunzel’s Prince being blinded by thorns and her bearing twins in the wilderness; to Red Riding Hood filling the wolf’s belly with stones after being cut out and throwing him in a trough of water to drown.
