Also it looks like they may be hour long eps rather than CW format, so I’ll defo wanna get them then.
They should do some with 4Sarah
I’m sure next years is IIRC!
Most of the 4DAs are about an hour, though the first few seasons of them are two halfish hour parts
Ooo. Very excited for this and glad it’s not just a one and done kind of thing
Also written by Tim Foley!
Story details are revealed today for Space Security Service: The Voord in London, a box set of full-cast audio drama starring Jane Slavin and Joe Sims, due June 2025.
Can’t wait for this!!
Odd though that the title of S1 is the title of the first episode?
Same. I really liked Anya Kingdom & Mark Seven in Dalek Universe. I wasn’t aware of Kingdom’s connection to the tv show but it didn’t impact on my enjoyment.
Fitton is a lil bit underrated for his role in the epics era. I agree John Dorney more often put out the stories that would take your breath away, but Fitton often organised the ongoing arcs into coherent narratives quite seamlessly.

I love that its set during her time in Stormcage, they don’t mention it much with BF. Love that its one big story like Friend of the Family and its all written by a writer I like!
While I like the cover being similar to the 2nd series of Life & Death, I find this to be one of the worst BF covers in a long time. The body/head don’t match well, and its just uninteresting
I loved Rochana Patel’s The Legend of Baba Yaga so my interest in this is activated.
I’m sorry but the cover
OK, the cover is pretty awful
And…
It’s the biggest, longest pseudo-historical story in the Whoniverse!
Didn’t anyone tell Big Finish that I’m not keen on historicals?
However.
Friend of the Family was incredible (so these single-story 4 hour box sets have legs), and of the stories I’ve heard by Rochana Patel, I always give them high scores (one 4.5, one 4, and one 3.5).
So… cautiously optimistic about this one.
But really, what I want is post-Library River content, I was sure that was what was going to happen with the rebrand, and now I’m gutted it’s not where they are going.
I just want River to be able to meet Thirteen, then I can die happy
It’s weird, Aplin’s covers are usually spot on. Shame, I really really don’t like it and I’ve not disliked a BF cover in YEARS!
I really liked what they did in S1 and even though I would’ve liked more, I enjoyed the stakes of it being limited. I definitely think there’s room for a meeting with 13, with some mind-wipery or something even at worst case.
But I kinda like the idea that she spent her last decades with the Twelfth Doctor, and that was the last Doctor she saw (it helps explain lots of the stuff she says in Silence in the Library), and I don’t want her meeting Thirteen to be mind-wiped, so I just want her to come back to life and have new adventures
I think them making S1 post-library confused a lot of people for what this range was going to be as opposed to a rebrand. Perhaps if they led with a different series at first. I agree with you, I think its controversial but I’d love that as well like her being resurrected.
